After next door had an artificial lawn installed I scrounged the leftover piece, about three foot by twelve. Placed on the patio it stopped the weeds coming through and I only have to move it to clear another part of the patio. The only other thing is that something heavy has to be put around the edges to stop the foxes from pulling it away.
We could get HH to lie on it. That would not only stop it from being drag away but also scare the foxes.

I must say that I don't IDENTIFY as a "whippersnapper"! 🤪
A bit like sex then and you know that there are one hundred and seventy ways of identifying that.

My lack of skill in the railway modelling department is all Dave Hunt's fault.
Perhaps I should change tack and start modelling the Midland Railway and then drag him down with me.
I always put your lack of skill down to the fact that you found it difficult to pick up the welding iron with your hooves but there again I could be wrong.

Even though I say so myself, green and yellow are also the colours of snot and suppuration.
They also make sludge if that's any help.

Different style of painting required
Paint into the wet edge not out of it.
On the positive side, when you started at the doorframe and have worked round the skirting, you can accidentally lean against the door frame to admire the job.
Amdy
Listen to this man he's painted a lot of wet wedges.

The same happens in "railway towns" like Swindon, where end terrace houses were to a better spec, for workers with "responsibilities". Port Sunlight on the Wirral, built by Lever for the workers in their soap factory exhibits similar differentiation, though that has more of a Garden City vibe, rather than mere rows of brick terraces!
Same for 'mill towns' two up, two down houses. One side of the street would have a little garden at the front, whilst the opposing side didn't. The other alternative was a 'lobby', so that when you entered the house you weren't in the front room. Of course this all meant the land lords could charge more rent.

It's still everybody else's fault regardless.

Plus we are going to do it and there's s&d all you can do about it.
Something that seems to be all to common these days and not just in the commercial world either.

I am fine most of the time but its been a bit full on the last few weeks but today is beer o'clock starting in Spoons in Horley before 10am and heading via Spoons in Gatwick (landside Spoons), Crawley then Horsham before heading back to Reigate to meet my other half. At least Spoons open early but many pubs change their opening hours that don't even reflect the times on there doors.
That's to keep you checking there website.

You still manage to leave out the critical information:
Was the cup hurt?
Will it be putting in a claim for PTSD?
Is it still in one piece, or is it a kit of parts?
You've left out the most important question namely will more fresh flour be required to paint over the coffee stains.

Well as predicted the ban on rainbow lanyards didn't last long forty eight hours.

There's something wrong with Chinese food here, none of it comes eith chips and nowhere does chips with curry sauce. It's worse in China, the food there is nothing like proper Chinese food, they need to import a few cooks from blighty so they can learn how to cook.
Don't worry we arrested three the other day.

Donald Duck?I didn't know HH was contracted to Disney. Is this one of his 'money raising' schemes that we're not to know about.

For which reason it sounds like rather a good idea to me, if it means the MAFF can build a mailing list to contact people instantly if avian flu cases are confirmed within a given radius of their birds. I remember the concerns my sister had when the last outbreak came within 15 miles of her TWO hens.
Similarly I always thought the removal of the dog licence was a mistake, if only so some bloke with two bull terriers who's previously been witnessed driving away from a dogfight, can be disqualified from owning anything more than a goldfish.
I think that often good ideas, which as you've highlighted this is, often go wrong due to overly bureaucratic implementation.

Dreaming for me is triggered by Ibuprofen - it's not known for it, but it sends my dream-ometer loopy, with often wild and sometimes quite disturbing and dark dreams. I only take it when I really really need it.
IOmoreimportantN, a big plus today from our visit to the vet, Mrs NHN given the all-clear for bowel cancer, quite why the hospital gastro-enterology department doing all the tests couldn't communicate this is an unknown, but our GP was finally able to unearth the information with a bit of computer hackery. It would appear she has some kind of pancreatic deficiency which is easily dealt with, and the sky-high (4x danger level) test marker for nasty illness has......become totally normal. They cannot explain why. Having done all the other things they could think of, they are now happy to say she's OK. Relief does not cover it.
Fish and (a small portion) of chips each for dinner to celebrate!
That's excellent news that Neil. I'm really delighted for you and the memsahib.
