  1. I’m not sure. Here’s a side by side comparison
  2. I think you might spot a revealing Easter egg in the video Accurascale released today on their YouTube channel. It’s around the 1.25 mark (appropriately). RIP my wallet if I’m right 🙀
  3. I’m wondering whether that’s a big clue. How about a GWR Saint Class including the named loco, St George?
  4. Not sure what happened with these. I preordered the set plus the two appropriate Class 47s from Hattons only to have the pre-order cancelled today. Is this something Hornby have now decided that only they are going to stock/sell directly? Disappointing if so! Has anything else gone to ‘web exclusive’ from the 2021 range?
  5. You clearly haven’t read all of my posts in detail! This is the up to date project page on Hattons website (updated today). https://www.hattons.co.uk/newsdetail.aspx?id=288 The loco I preordered is from the original 30 announced liveries/numbers, and I order before 15 November this year (October 2018 to be precise). I have ordered it as DCC ready and not DCC sound. According to the table of delivery times I should be getting mine before Christmas. With this information in hand I contacted Hattons this afternoon by their website instant messenger to enquire about my order. I was told that my order would not arrive until January as there were apparently not enough sent by air to fulfil all the pre-orders made BEFORE the cut off date. In other words even though according to the published delivery dates mine should be arriving before Christmas it will not. My main moan is that Hattons website information is inaccurate and they have NOT contacted customers like myself to inform us that we will not be receiving our models in accordance with the published schedule. In my book this is poor customer service. If they had bothered to send out emails to all customers whose orders should have been fulfilled before Christmas according to their own schedule (See link above) then that would be fair enough. But they haven’t and that is what irks me (alongside the tone of your replies).
  6. By all means please provide me with a link with the info because the most up to date info I’ve seen on Hattons website tells me I should be receiving mine before Christmas. Very much looking forward to exploring all sorts of other topics through rmweb too of a more positive nature! But doesn’t everyone like a little moan every now and again? ;-)
  7. Don’t get me wrong I’m looking forward to mine arriving. I’m sure it will be brilliant. I’m also looking forward to watching the various review videos that will be posted on YouTube over the coming weeks. The samples I saw of the Class 66 at Warley were awesome and definitely a few steps above the Bachmann 66. Just wish I could be posting something positive about having received mine in the post today.
  8. October 2018, which makes me question whether they’re working on a first come first served basis. Would it help if I threw my dolls out of a pram?
  9. I did contact them directly via their website chat function and the response I got was far from satisfactory hence my post above. They did apologise but gave no reasoning as to why mine specifically was not one of the ‘chosen’ orders. My intention is to make positive contributions, but to be honest I thought this was an appropriate forum to express my frustration and disappointment. More than happy to quote the exchange to give context if you like?
  10. Glad those of you who have received yours already are on the whole very happy. Have been reading about all the excitement here and on Facebook etc. However on contacting Hattons about mine (which I pre-ordered in October 2018 - I.e. 14 months ago) I was told that I wouldn’t be getting mine until January. It’s a DCC ready Freightliner Powerhaul loco, ‘Patriot’ which I know some have received already. There are several issues with this. 1) Why have Hattons not emailed customers who won’t be receiving their DCC ready Class 66s until January to notify them? 2) What basis have Hattons used to determine who gets their locos now, and who doesn’t? 3) Why did they make a promise about delivery on 2 December when surely they would have known that not enough were being shipped to fulfil pre-orders made before the deadline? This leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Who else has had the same bad experience?
