  1. Looking at the photos of the models on Kernow’s website, the as-built and British Empire Exhibition versions appear to incorrectly have the later shortened cab (but correctly have the original taller chimney).
  2. Hi @adamvb, just out of interest, is it the white end lights that are flickering when the DT is in reverse, or is it that the correct lights are on but are flickering in general? The end lights on my DT work perfectly well when running forwards (i.e. push mode) but when running in reverse (i.e. pull mode), the red lights work fine, but the white end lights flicker and occasionally as does the destination board (which is mostly off when in reverse and on running forwards - I’m unsure if it is meant to be on in both directions). I have already emailed the Accurascale support team so hopefully there is a solution.
  3. Looks fantastic. I’d be interested in knowing others’ thoughts - could the finish of the safety valve bonnet potentially be an area for improvement?
  4. Here is a photo of 46252 I took the other day with my iPhone, in natural light. The finish is more satin than the die cast Atholl to my eye, although it doesn’t seem to appear that way in the photo below.
  5. Here is my 6212. It’s a superb model.
  6. It’s isolated whilst I’m in the process of re-tiling my kitchen.
  7. Sorry, half way through re-tiling my kitchen!!
  8. I’m not suggesting Hornby have done this intentionally, but the appearance of the cab is very similar to that of 46220 Coronation in the photograph at the link below. Perhaps a reason not to mind if the production run of Duchess of Atholl has the same “drooping” cab appearance! https://www.rail-online.co.uk/p645258869/hc3e9ab62
  9. Here are a couple of screenshots from the recent Hornby Signal Box on YouTube.
  10. Hmm, I have had assurances from the retailer that I have one allocated, and that this will be fulfilled. I will be very upset if I end up missing out.
  11. Thanks for the screenshot. In fairness, I would have been happy with the older tooling. I have a few Duchesses of the older tooling, which I really like. This will be my first of the new tooling (I have one on pre-order) - I hope it doesn’t make me want to replace my current Duchesses - I don’t have the money for that! Hopefully you manage to get hold of one.
  12. From looking at the development sample in the latest episode of Hornby’s Signal Box video, it looks as though R3819 will have all the improvements of the newer c2017 tooling i.e. detailed frames, wind deflectors on the cab sides etc. So perhaps the original product artwork is slightly misleading!
