The story is EssexBrick MR required and ordered 2 cranes that were lightweight, have a long reach and moveable. Mainely for loading/unloading barrels from wagons/canal boats. The truth is I made the 2 green cranes and forgot why I made them and had no space for them!! Designed in SketchUp make (still completely free). Printed on Mars 2/4 and Ender 3. Confused Eddy -

Need quiet a few cranes for my canal side. This first batch of 3 were all 3d printed in different ways to get the best orientation. A mix of FDM & Resin, Ender 3 & Mars 2/4. Designed in SketchUp(2017 Still FREE). They fix on the side of the canal with a dovetail type connector so they can be removed for transportation. Eddyr transportation. Eddy -

Thanks Kevin. Hopefully on my next outing at Guildford in Jan, everything should be working. Just got to automate the canal barges. -

Sorry about that, it was supposed to link to a playlist. Try this one. Realistic walls -
This is a quick look at using JMRI and YAAT scripting to automate EssexBrick layout. The video is terrible quality as the layout is pushed up against the garage wall and I cannot film from the front. I have 11 locos and 9 pushers working together. Plus, 4 canal boats. Of the 32 SFY tracks I have used 23 so far, so a bit left for more train action. I have 16 YAAT individual scripts which I have paired up with the pushers, so there should always be 4 trains on the layout moving or about to move. The YAAT scripts, paired with pushers are set as a Timetable and these are arranged into the Master Timetable. This way I can set the order in the Master to suit. Eddy Click on link for video EssexBrick using YAAT

If you fancy a challenge, you can have a look at some of my videos on realistic walls. The videos are a bit dated but still usable. As monkeysarefun said, Blender is another level from SketchUp but if you can master a few techniques it is so satisfying to get a result. Realistic Walls in blender -

In my wisdom I decided to accept an invitation to show at Basildon MRC show on the 28th Oct. I have a layout that is not finished and a working canal with one test boat. The first pic is the underside of the boat and the second one is the weighted loco that runs on a track underneath the canal. In the future I will refine the boats but for now these will have to do. -
