Cheers Kevin, I found a technique I liked and stuck with it. Nothing shinny and new for me, just dull muted colours.👍👍 -

A couple more trucks (lorries for the Brits). They are unloading/ waiting to be unloaded state. The last one (green one) was a failure that I was using as a gauging truck, I wondered if I could hide most of the faults/damage and still make it usable. You tell me? -

Another little diorama, all my dioramas have to be removable so it's a bit of a challenge gluing bits to bits to make a solid scene. Corners always seem to be a bit of a problem area, also this is to be viewed from the front, so nothing to big sticking up. No front view pictures as my layout is stuck up against some racking in the garage. As usual there is a lot of tea drinking, sitting around and there is even a game of cards going on behind the tea bar. On to the next corner. -

Back modelling on my layout. I have put all the dioramas on the layout, plus the backscene to see what works and what still needs doing. There are lots of loose stuff floating around, just to get ideas. There are no moving locos or rolling stock, did not want to go to mad. There are still lots of little scenes to do. My Channel -

Nice one Monkey, did you print it flat on the plate?? -
Started detailing the first part of my backscene. First floor upwards as I have dioramas to make for the ground floor and I am not sure how much space I have to play with. Everything has been designed and printed by me. The main building is FDM printed on an Ender 3 and the detailing stuff is resin printed on an Elegoo Mars 2. Everything was designed in SketchUp make and Blender which are free to use and have no limits. OO scale.

Not sure if you have sorted this problem or this link is any good for you? I had the same problem but after getting it sorted I made a video for SketchUp on my channel. SketchUp Chimney Saddle

One way to get better prints, is to break the model down and print it as a kit. If you lay a wall section flat in the printer bed you can get some great window designs and the glazing bars can be .4mm thick. The brickwork will also come out a lot better. All my brickwork prints get a rub with 40 grit abrasive. It hides the printer marks and give the bricks some texture. Plenty of pics on my Essex Brick posts. All the buildings in the pics printed with a .4 nozzle. -

Someone commented on Essex Brick workforce being a bunch of layabouts, always drinking tea. Personally, I don't see this😉😉 https://www.youtube.com/@EssexBrick -

Nice one Ben. Link to how I made Essex Brick👍 -
If anyone is interested and followed me on my old channel. I had a joint channel on the tube but I have removed all my videos and started a new channel. Its all things Railway/Railroad related, SketchUp, Blender, MakeHuman, and how I built Essex Brick Model Railway this is my new channel. It's not for experts but hopefully will help newbies like me with some techniques. https://www.youtube.com/@EssexBrick

You are right, once I get the layout up and running I will have to do some MORE detailing with signs and stuff. For such a small layout, why is there so much to do?? I think more cafes are required, put it on the to do list. I have been putting off some more wiring. Because I decided to do 32 stabling tracks on my SFY, I have now decided I need and extra 32 x 4 pin plugs wired up!! JSModels, I am sorry I could not do it. I love Yorkshire but give me Essex water any day😁😁 -

You can always add poses to Makehuman library. That way you can make a human and pose it at the same time. -

You have to import into Blender and then the figure can be posed in any way you like. Also you can add extra features. I have made a video series but I have had to change my channel and not got round to uploading all my videos yet (summer time, break from modelling). -

Why not have some boys playing cards in their break (skiving)? Designed in Makehuman & posed in Blender. Printed on a Mars 2, HO/OO ish. -
I have briefed my figures on the perils of falling cranes but for some reason they did not seemed to be bothered at all.
