      A1SLT have said it failed due to a part of the inside valve gear being damaged. I hope it was nothing to do with the speed.

      They will be mortified after the big overhaul it had over the winter.

      Maybe they should have built a 1922 A1 instead ad avoided the inaccessible inside valve gear, like Herbert Gresley did.
