I'm planning my first layout in 35 years, and have pretty much settled on a loosely based Loch Tay plan. It will need to be a little compressed with the pier siding loop even shorter than the original, and more to 45 degrees of the station rather than 90 degrees, but hope to capture the spirit at least. I've tracked down most books covering the Killin line and done a lot of web searching, but Caley period photos are obviously few and far between. Does anyone know of any photos that show the front of the two sheds in the well known early (possibly opening day) photo: https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/loch-taykillin-pier-station-caledonian-railway-scotland-c-1886-picture-id90746779?s=2048x2048 ? (I won't embed for copyright). The closest I've found is in a discussion on the CRA, but one shed doesn't show at all, and the other is largely obscured by a wagon: https://www.crassoc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=291
Any links to other Caley period photos greatly appreciated - I've found one of the Killin pug between the station and shed, and a couple of distant shots of the pier, but not much.
Thanks,
Richard
