  1. Looks amazing with with a bit of colour! Looking forward to receiving a few of these in various liveries... If I didn't mention a couple of inaccuracies now, I'd have to forever hold my peace and that would irritate me with it being an amazing looking model! The colour matching on the 156 seem to be better than on the 142, will those be used on the release instead? Also on the logo, the blue portion of the logo is a bit too light - and the N doesn't look as bright as it should, but that may be the camera/lighting (you got it right on the 156, for reference). 😅
  2. Updated Lumo livery as shown in the catalogue.
  3. Yeah, it's 803005 which carries the Stephenson's Works bicentenary vinyls. The details on the side are on the front page of Lumo's website, "lumo is proudly from Newcastle" "lumo is a net-zero champion" "lumo is all electric" etc, also of note is the large luggage stickers advising passengers of where to put their luggage for different destinations. Good call by Hornby, however I reckon this may have been at Lumo's request. Something else to note in the 2024 catalogue is the missing upcoming LNER Azuma pack, only the extension pack is featured (which isn't compatible with previous releases if Hornby have binned it off!).
  4. Just scrolling through Realtrack's website and noticed several new pre-orders coming soon for 143s and 144s. 143s in GWR and Regional Railways liveries, and 144s in WYPTE red/cream and unbranded Northern (Serco-Abellio) liveries. Apologies if it's already been announced ages ago!
  5. Agreed, it's something I've been looking forward to... but that sample just looks nasty. Definitely a no from me if its released in that state. When smaller companies like Accurascale manage to colour match and apply the livery correctly (and if I recall correctly, took a few attempts to do so at their Mk5s), it's always disappointing to see the usual lack of attention to detail on Hornby's models, especially on liveries like this where the original artwork, the trains themselves, photos online, and also customer feedback are all in abundance... 😐
  6. Northern Rail blue and purple (Serco-Abellio era) is missing, I'd have rather have had that than former FNW!
  7. Not many photos of the adaptions out yet, seems to have just happened over the past few days. 803003 has had the new stickers since it received Pride livery though. There's also new luggage guide stickers on all the units next to the doors. Hornby selected 803003 as their model, so I wonder if a renumbering is on the cards if they choose to use the revised livery (as carried by 803001 so far). Photo by Martyn Hilbert on Flickr.
  8. Perhaps the further delay in the Lumo 803 will see the model receiving the adapted livery? Note the silver and blue shapes on the nose, the front logo, and "lumo is proudly from Newcastle" replacing "Travel Well, Beyond Expectations"... Avanti managed to blag their slightly revised livery on to the 390 model... 😅 Photo by Paul Biggs on Flickr.
  9. I dropped the address an email the other week, hopefully there's still some availability to place an order as I haven't heard back? 🙂
  10. All the Northern Rail livery variations pre-2006 🤣 Would love to see Northern Spirit though, to get rid of the Lima version!
  11. Hopefully they do - and that the destinations aren't anything silly like "Carlisle via Watford Junction" 🤣
  12. https://realtrackmodels.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=91 GMPTE, chocolate/cream, provincial and Northern Rail are available to order.
  13. As promised, hopefully this explains it a bit better and is of use to you.
  14. When I'm back home later, I'll explain what I mean better with the help of Photoshop. ☺️
  15. Apologies if I've picked this up too late, on the Serco/Abellio livery, the Northern "N" oval should be aligned horizontally with the "northern" text. I think the "N" within the oval is also lighter in real life too. Apart from my minor observations, I'm really looking forward to these. Just a shame that I couldn't wait back in 2020 and ended up buying the Rainbow Railways versions instead 🤣
