  1. Hope you guys don't have too high an expectation of the power reserve in a stayalive.
  2. That photo is very helpful in providing a solution to the slightly short handrail - a couple of mm's of shrink tube.
  3. With empathy for those that have been cancelled, my sound/stay-alive Bradley arrived today. I am not a subscriber and ordered quite late. Is there a trend in sound/ DCC ready versions that are not being honoured, or is it random? Perhaps Key were expecting/planning for a lower take up rate that didn't happen.
  4. The Manor chimney and blackened safety valves cover are so much more realistic, as is the matt smokebox. IMHO of course.
  5. Deluxes 'Tacky Wax'? I also use for etched number and nameplates - works fine and totally harmless.
  6. The Instruction Booklet suggests there is a guide to fitting accessories on the Website, but I can't find it. Newby question, do the etched nameplates fix over existing nameplates? Does the etched smokebox number replace existing number? Cheers!
  7. Mine arrived yesterday. The initial presentation is excellent. Only issues are the handrail bracket above the smokebox door had 'popped' and will need refixing and there is a very light scuff line on matt black of smokebox. Some of the detailing is great.
  8. Excellent and swift response. Well done and many thanks.
  9. Newbie question, please. What are the strips in the Hornby coaches detailing packs for? Cheers Keith
  10. This is a great model and I love it, but I think Model Rail needs to respond and be open about a very real issue. It is clear there is a component(s) in the installed PCB that prevents the advertised functionality from working. I have removed the PCB and hard wired a decoder and the model runs really well, but this should not be necessary at the price of nearly £150. Hope Rapido also learn and don't repeat this in the 15xx!
