  1. I actually remember the actual bridges going over the top of the road and the old central station being at the end of the car park, about 400 meters east of where it is now.
  2. I live just outside wxm Town (city) centre. Was a member of the North East Wales model club many decades ago, we were based in Wrexham General station itself. Got 2 models on the go, one in the garage, 12ft by 3ft Tmd, and a temporary kato n scale one with the unitram setup as well.
  3. Just a stab in the dark to see if anyone knows anyone who has the following for sale. Kato N 40-210 Unitram Street Track, Electric Turnout R180mm, Left Kato N 40-211 Unitram Street Track, Electric Turnout R180mm, Right
  4. I've tightened and checked everything. If I go slow enough, it's fine so just have to remember to do that. Bought the new released class 158 today so will see how they compare
  5. Track formation is just straight track coming from single track than splitting into 2 straights ethier side of a platform
  6. Track is peco code 75, the derailment happens on the y point. Done a quick test and if I go slow enough the train travels over the points fine with no derailment. I shall check the wheels on each bogie to make sure they are sitting correctly. Let you know tomorrow.
  7. Not sure if this is the correct place for this topic. I have recently purchased a Class 158 dmu, when doing some testing the heavier coach seems to push the light 2nd coach of the rails mainly at points. Going forward when the heavier coach is in front its all fine, only when I reverse the train it does the derailment. Would adding weights to the 2nd coach help, so the 2nd coach has a bit more force against the heavier 1st coach. Or remove weight from the 1st coach if possible, to try and balance the weight distribution more. I haven't locked to see if there are any weights in the 1st coach to take out. Any other suggestions would be helpful.
  8. @john new - do you know if any small stools \ steps will be available for small children to use. Thanks
  9. nice to finally have the Arriva Class 158, not nice about the price £280 for non DCC fitted or £326 for DCC Sound fitted from RoS. Looks like the price difference isn't correct. Better start saving the pennies.
  10. what did you use for the cabling wires between the rails, ive got the orange cable protectors that go underneath the rails already.
  11. backup plan will either be to drive down or just not go at all. I'll Just take a look in the morning and see if the train is still running. Which still doesn't guarantee it won't get cancelled before its suppose to arrive at the station.
  12. I'll be coming down on the TFW train into international, so hopefully no issues with this one.
  13. I bought the 3-bay version of this at the Stafford model show last month OO Gauge Post-War Fire Station Kits - Components | MMR Models https://www.mmrmodels.co.uk/product-page/oo-gauge-post-war-fire-station-kits-components
  14. Can I ask what colour blue paint you used on the brick work for the bridge. I have ordered myself the kit from skytrex, but they aren't responding to any comms about what paints to use and where.
  15. HI All I'm looking into building the following part of the depot within the red area. But not quite sure what they used as the outer shell, to get the coregulated look. Has anyone built something similar and got any advice or steps on how to achieve the build.
  16. its on ebay auction at the moment and don't own it, so wanted to know before thinking of making a bid for it

  18. received the items today and a response from them today detailing a few issues they are experiencing We are sorry to hear that you have had issues with your transaction. Our telephone has been out of service due to issues with forwarding the number after our office move during the pandemic (we are endeavouring to fix this issue but it is proving more complex as different phone provider departments are not talking to each other). Our Facebook is not regularly monitored as this is primarily a platform used for announcements etc... so I must apologise for any lack of reply on this social media platform. we are working on improving contact via social media and hope to have a dedicated team member in the post covid future. We have no record of receiving any contact form from you via our website, can you provide details so we can raise the issue with our website provider? We are sorry that you have had these issues, and i hope that your order will be with you in a few days (if not already). should there be any further issues please feel free to contact us here or via direct email:xxxxx and if you would prefer to talk in person please feel free to call me direct on: xxxxx. I look forward to a resolution of this case and hope that you enjoy your purchases. yours faithfully, Alexander Croft Managing Director Online Models Ltd
  19. Well ill give them to Friday to respond and if nothing comes back, ill raise a dispute with PayPal.
  20. posted a message, lets see if they come back with anything.
  21. Has anyone ordered anything from this website recently, just having a few issues with them. Ordered a few lights from there website on Sunday, and after returning back to their website from the PayPal website i noticed a message saying that the order had been cancelled. The money has been withdrawn from my account for the order already, Ive tried to phone them but the phone number is coming back as invalid number. So now have emailed them.
  22. Hi Just at the start of the initial laying of track and the wiring for DCC control. Just got a couple of questions to ask. 1. Do i need to insulate the inner tracks of the diamond (cyan lines) 2. Do also need to isolate the connections that go to the inner tracks of each point from the crossover. 3. How do you wire a double point , one after each other The yellow dots are the power feeds for the track.
  23. Received my order of E191 last week, so now waiting for e189 and e192's
  24. Hi Harry I have just recently sold my previous layout on ebay, had a lot of people asking questions than after re listing it 4 times, i got a interested person willing to commit, but couldn't come to the price i wanted, than an hour before the auction finished i got full asking price i wanted from a different bidder, plus than after speaking to the person, they wanted the additional buildings so that bumped up the price by another £300. As people have said you don't get back what you spent on it, let alone the hours worked on it. (if i was to work out the hourly rate than add it into the price probably be worth more than my house). So i think overall i broke even on the price with the baseboards and track and most of the scenery items. So wasn't to disheartened. Just also watch out ebay charge seller fees also so you will lose around 10-12% of the final sale price also. So with the money i got i have now ordered new track and baseboards for my new layout.
  25. Looks like they have received some more track as i now have notification for another partial shipment of peco track arriving tomorrow. Just waiting for SL-E189, 191 and 192 items now.
