  1. No need to apologize Fran. I'm sure they will be worth the little bit of extra waiting. I love the packaging. Just oozes quality. Wish I had ordered the purple beast now. Box looks great. Really looking forward to my four. Two from yourselves, one from Rails and one from Locomotion. Thanks for the update.
  2. Actually six blue ones had white window frames. Finsbury Park Depot Manager decided to give its six 'racehorses' a distinctive look back in 1979. I've ordered 'Ballymoss' and 'Tulyar' and am hoping the other four are considered in future production runs with this look. Fran, do you plan to do an updated sales table on the Deltics?
  3. I've convinced myself to order four of the beauties! Ballymoss The Black Watch Tulyar Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry in 1980s Green livery I got introduced to Deltics when i was 6 or 7 years old by my two much older brothers when we use to go and stay at my Aunts in Sandy. The first and only loco type that use to scare the life out of me when they roared through at 100mph+. Left a lasting impression on me.... I'm going to wake up the neighbours with my four! Oh and I'm thinking of ordering a fifth one. Decisions decisions....
  4. I have a Class 25, Class 33 and Class 86 from Heljan, all purchased this year. All three are beautiful models and run like silk...
  5. Looks fantastic! Looking forward to full project update next week...
  6. Thanks! Always find this league table very interesting. Will you be doing an up to date Deltic league table soon, as I am still deciding on another Deltic to order?
  7. I think A/S producing the iconic HST is most definitely a commercially viable option judging by the way they present their products to market. The number of livery options and varying specifications of the power cars is extremely large, then add in perhaps the iconic Mk3 coaches. I think the Hornby product is ok, but believe A/S could produce the definitive model, if their Deltics, Class 92s and Class 37s are anything to go by. I also agree that the Class 31 and Class 50 locos are potential targets for A/S. Ironically, all three currently produced by Hornby. As Bachmann have just demonstrated with their new Class 47 project, A/S are causing some of these manufacturers to up their game. Great news for us modellers. Fran mentioned back in March they were working on 'more than two new locos' and it sounded like it included another steam loco so hopefully after the Deltics are released we will get some exciting announcement...
  8. Looks awesome Fran! I'm ready for my Deltics, Class 37s & Class 92s now!
  9. Well done Cavalex! Fantastic announcement. My prayers have been answered. Looking forward to seeing them...
  10. Thanks for the update Fran. Honest and transparent as always. Of course the delays are frustrating for everyone, but we are going to get the best Class 37 ever ...so its worth it! Keep up the great work..
  11. Well... I've always had problems with my Hornby Class 56 so imo it deserves to be brought up to AS standards.
  12. Fantastic stuff Fran! My fave wagons now being produced to the highest standard. Now it just needs an Accurascale Class 56 to haul them!
  13. I think the HST (PCs & Mk3s) are a no brainer to consider doing. Such an iconic and now popular train and with so many liveries and variations since 1976. The commercial prospects are almost endless. If the Deltic/Class 92/Class 37 hopefully become the gold standard of 00 loco models and fingers crossed its looking that way, AS won't probably care what the competition is out there. The Hornby models are decent but AS can do it better!
  14. I agree with 'Ghost of IKB'. Energy best spent on Class 31/40/50/56s etc.
