Of note was that only 4712 was carrying BR Blue at the time

Adelaide Blue Eagles snatched the Junior Premier League U16 title by one point from West Torrens Birkalla last Tuesday without kicking a ball. ABE had played all their games, but Birkalla had a catch up Game against Adelaide Comets which ended as a 0-0 draw. The ABE boys were in the middle of a club carnival game with the Seniors when the text came through and much rejoicing followed

I've posted a small gallery of images taken in the Hunter Valley between 2005-2008. Not comprehensive, but gives some idea of the variety of trains and scenery to be seen.

This Day in History ??“ Toton ??“ 6th December 1970

 

On this day thirty eight years ago it was out with the push bike for a sixteen mile round trip to Toton for a ???bunk??? round the shed.......A total of ninety seven locomotives present. Of note....the high number of class 46 peaks (six) which were usually not that common.

So was this 1971 (not 1970) or was it 39 years ago?

If it was 1970 it is interesting to compare it my visit the previous Sunday when 103 locos were on shed - see post #27 above. The biggest difference is the respective numbers of 45s and 46s a week apart. Interestingly there were no 46s on shed the on the 22/11/70.
