Here's one I prepared about 35 years earlier

A shot taken 32 years ago that I recently rediscovered and scanned for the first time a few days ago.
Built by Nohab of Sweden to the Prussian G8/2 design, a Turkish Railway 2-80-0 ambles across the landscape with the morning Sivas to Samsun passenger in March 1984.

Interesting that Osborns painted sample for their limited edition also turned up in Malachite rather than Maunsell green. You'd think Dapol might have double checked the livery requested by those paying for commissions!

It's an outrage!

I'm not usually a stickler for absolute model fidelity, but unfortunately that just doesn't look right.

Just posted on Facebook....
Dapol and Miller Trust HST Prototype Project
We released details of the HST Prototype project over the weekend at the Alexandra Place exhibition.
To determine if this project is viable, we are asking potential customers to register their interest by completing the Expression of Interest form, which can be found here:
http://Dapol.co.uk/image/data/HST_specification (002).pdf
Please note, we are not asking for money or deposits, the purpose of the registration is to see if there are enough people interested in the purchase to make the project viable and sensible. If we do not receive more than 700 Expressions of Interest, then we will not proceed. All registrants will be kept updated on progress of the project from finalisation of the design, production of tooling, engineering prototypes to the livery application. Once complete, the model can be purchased ether direct from the Miller Project or via the Dapol Website.
The project will involve the production of an all new Power car and correctly modelled coach tooling. The only matter of compromise will be the buffet as it was considered this would put too much cost on the set for one coach.
As detailed when first announced at Warley, all trade profits are being donated to the Miller Project for the continued upkeep of this incredibly important prototype.
It is now in potential customer’s hands to see if this model is created. We will publish updates regularly on progress to reach the target expression total.

I'm a railway engineer by trade, and if I'd produced something that wrong, even as an EP, I'd be disgusted with myself.
That's your choice. I'd rather have some idea with caveats a few months out so I can plan my purchases.
I saw every Class 33 in service and in most colour schemes in real life. I'm not 'disgusted' with what I'm seeing.

D1019 was blue in February 1973 https://flic.kr/p/frBbBe
D1057 in July 1975 https://flic.kr/p/amzDTK

Surprised no Stanier full brake in BR blue--long overdue.
No Finsbury Park Deltic either--Meld the most sensible (short nameplate easily changed).
Please add these to your list Mr Bachmann--now!
Good call ^Hawksworth coaches in maroon would have been really nice - maroon and blue examples of the full brake even better.
Maybe a weathered covhop or two, but most of my money going to Dapol for the next year.

I went to the Bluebell Deltic gala with my partner, and we had no trouble with the type of person mentioned above. But then we did have reservations in the GN Directors' Saloon.
My instinctive read of that was "didn't"

I hope they have got that one sorted - that is how it has been being advertised "921 with early BR crest"
'Sorted' apparently.

Apart from the spurious livery\ number combination .......
