  1. Ah, looks like we were getting the lower body colour wrong then ?
  2. Here's a better definition one, he sent me in Dropbox. Edited....still not that good, but there's a train init
  3. Me mate big George has gone and got himself one of those new fangled drone things......guess where he lives... I'm guessing that's the HOBC, seems to be 2 freighliner and 1 EWS shed on site.
  4. Battery charger ? Do not move signs ? Scotches , piles of brake blocks , tail lamps everywhere , big drums of anti freeze ,,, Some ideas possibly , but Flickr is your friend
  5. Ooh, didn't notice that. Yeah no logos - grey stealth mode. Seems to have been in very good nick for a bit, almost like they tcut the decals off and left a shiny patch
  6. Nice one Jon, I thought you might know ! I'm looking at doing 37376
  7. Hi, Did a search but too many returns... For triple grey as per class 37 , I'm going to use precision paints,,, Can I confirm I need , P147 exec dark grey for roof P182 railfreight grey bottom sides P183 flint grey tops, And is there PQ 8 general purpose thinner of for spraying with theses ? Thanks in advance
  8. I do like your ship, And I am considering some docks for my next plank, but they seem to be £200+ as they are designed for RC unless I'm missing a trick ?
  9. True, but I'm not a regular exhibition goer so the entry costs do t really validate going to pick up a few small components. Just a shame the supply chain isn't better
  10. Puts me off ordering anything when it's such a trial, Howes used to have some of their bits , but since they lost interest in trains, less so.
  11. Blimey, no idea,he calls them " speed paintings ". I know he does a lot of spraycan stuff, i.e. Large murals on buildings
  12. A firm landing is what Boeing recommends, soft ones use too much runway. Don't equate quality of the operation with landings please....! My company pinched a lot of their pilots. There are some great tales of maltreatment , such as the guy dragged to DUB to explain why he took time off when a family member got cancer. He quit on the spot. Unfortunately young pilots really only have the choice of easy or Ryan mostly as their starting point and with €100000 of debt from their training already they cannot afford to be picky who they get that vital " type rating " and decent jet time with.
  13. I'm actually excited - finally RTR points without those god forsaken hinge things on the blades. This is a game changer for me and hopefully negates the need for handbukot track in future which coupled with pecos robustness should see me well into the future
  14. Wow that's brilliant , well done. I was a kid in the blue period, and have faint memories of 33 & TC from reading to Portsmouth harbour for navy days. Almost makes me wanna go third rail ..
  15. I agree it doesn't work well. Especially on diesels that just look like they are " smoking a fag "
  16. Beyond all the moaning...... I thought it was a good edition even as a diesel walla, I can appreciate fine modelling such as the O gauge lead layout on the pier. I also still like the fact it's not elitist, the guys GWR branch was nice, but even he was saying should have painted the rails sides rusty !
  17. Hi, Dan Kitchener is a great artist who covers a wide range of topics and styles. Recently he has been doing some rail inspired stuff and has a book of railway themed paintings coming out before Christmas. He's given me permission to share a few here. See him on Facebook or dankitchener.co.uk I think they are pretty amazing and wonderfully atmospheric.
  18. I like it, it's something a bit different and you can't beat water and trains combined
  19. Yes, that '104 looks nice, unusual railfreight general markings I think as well. I keep looking at eBay for more 37s, but does a 6' plank need more than 7 37s, a 47, 3 60s and 3 sheds ??! Not really but I could justify as being a " collector that likes to run....."
