My main model railway interest is the transition era, 00 gauge. In my spare hours that nobody has planned anything for me (which is rare!) I enjoy volunteering at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, and taking railway photos in my local area. I sometime even find the time to do some modelling!!!

None railway...... I have been know to participate in the odd real ale or two, getting out on my bike and spending time with my family.

It's not every night that you can pull along side a police van in the dark at the trafic lights, wind down your window and surgest to the officer driving that after following themfor 5 mins it may be best if they put their head lights on!

  One of the issues surrounding bright daylight driving lights. If your mind is not on the job at hand ,it's easily overlooked; more so if you have the feel for speed so can travel within the law without looking at the dashboard dials...
