  1. Certainly under the guise of Irish Railway Models they're producing the Irish A-class locomotive - must admit I fancy one of the Crossley-engined variants, probably a black one, even though it doesn't fit in with the rest of my fleet (or the Deltics I've already pre-ordered from Accurascale).

We're always happy to tempt new followers to the church of Irish outline too :)

  2. Hi ScR,

Once you ordered, you would have chosen Deposit or Bank Transfer as the payment method, unless you chose to pay in full using Card or Paypal at the checkout.

Once the order sync'd over to our accounting platform, you would have received an email invoice, with the order confirmation and instructions on performing a wire transfer or a PayPal payment for the deposit amount.

Feel free to PM me your order number if you did not receive the email with your invoice and the payment instruction. (You should have received it again today if your order is in without payment as yet).

    Hope that helps!

    Stephen

  3. I would imagine by the time the Deltic comes out the V5 will be the “normal” ESU decoder, so yes I believe your correct. :)

The Deltic project has been designed, chassis up, and speaker / PowerPack config hand in hand with ESU specifically for the LokSound 5 :)

  4. I wasn't thinking about getting another deltic as i already got one but i may get the Purple Deltic as it is unusual and i don't know that there was such a livery put on one and also to support Accurascale with this project.

Also will this be the only batch to contain the purple deltic or could it be produced in the future after they have sold out from the first batch?

Hard to tell at this point, but this isn't a 'one off' or a special run, so we hope to have ongoing availability and future runs of the fleet in various versions and guises.

  5. The earlier claims that the sound quality will be superior to that of an EM2 is very interesting.

Presumably, the speakers are already available and you have listened to the performance.

Could you provide the speaker details so that I can improve my current EM2 arrangement please?

We're working with market leader ESU on a speaker, chip and circuit solution, coupled with a (somewhat) revolutionary chassis material and design to achieve the best possible solution. We'll be able to reveal more details in the new year as details of the technology enter the public domain.

  6. The key to the sound won't be the sound project (although this is hugely important and variable) but, in the case of the Deltic, how big a speaker/s will fit inside chassis. Things are improving as the new start up manufacturers begin to listen to the market (see the EM-1 in the new Hattons 66) I await the result with great interest.

Thanks chaps. One of the key reasons we're investing in Tungsten Alloy chassis, is to allow the largest possible speakers (two of them) into the body!
