  1. Well today something happened that hasn’t for about an year and a half now! Three of Southgate Parks board were put back up! Unfortunately space constraints meant the forth board couldn’t be put up because of the area being 110mm to small! Never mind. Now the boards are up some checking of electrics, further scenery freshening up can take place. Areas to be attacked soon, the far left board road surface didn't match the other road so out with the sand paper and soon some DAS Clay to be rolled over for the surface (once i can find it after my house move), the next section will be the hoarding around the Station works area, need to put some thought to this area and then the plain bit of tarmac to the left of the bus station will have a greasy spoon trailer and seating area with picnic tables. We are still hoping that Lincoln show will be our debut this October, COVID permitting. Mark
  2. Hi Corbs Your Hudswell Clarke is looking great! So much that within an hour of seeing it, i'd bought a kit and a Bachmann 03 to have a good at my first 3D printed loco conversion kit. Should look well at home on Peartree Green Dock once I've built it. Any suggestions how to glaze it? Keep up the good work. Mark
  3. Yes that's right, looking into the A end which is the end were currently working on. Mark
  4. I wasn't sure it was a toilet area myself it just looks identical to MK1 or DMU toilet areas that's all. Plus the fact there's a whacking great water tank above there too! Mark
  5. One of the serving hatch here too, to the left of the ex toilet area. But as Kit says this isn't original. Mark
  6. Hi Paul Here’s a rough photo of what I think Shane is describing on the left of the photo (Shane let me know if I’m wrong) it’s a toilet compartment I believe. Mark
  7. Hi all Its gone a bit quiet at Peartree recently, due to moving house next month. Hopefully normal working will be resumed soon. Mark
  8. There’s been some progress in the last few days with a bulk haul of items from Model Railway Scenics, these 3D printed items are just superb and really make the layout come to life, just waiting for some wood coloured paint to paint the crates. Mark
  9. Believe the 207 is the source of the thumper sounds, not aware of a significant difference in the sounds between those and the 205. Mark
  10. The Peartree Green Dock Company’s latest acquisition was tested late this evening. A chain driven Sentinel has been bought by the dock company, painted in their trademark blue and can be seen pottering around the lines. Actually it’s a Hornby Sentinel resprayed by Shane Wilton and fitted with a Hornby R8249 decoder.
  11. I was too slow to get my phone or iPad cameras open at Leamington earlier when 721 rolled through the middle road! Too busy trying to get the info out to the staff! Mark
  12. Thanks Dave, Stenston Models do a few etched platforms and ladders for TTAs https://www.stensonmodels.co.uk/product-category/all-products/4mm-products/wagon-detailing/ Mark
  13. Hi Dave That 08 is superb, who’s sound chip is it? Keep up the good work on the layout. Mark
  14. Some more work on the smaller area in front of the fiddle yard. Installed some P & D Marsh lamps and some Scale Model Scenery dockside chain and post fencing. Being laser cut wood it’s very flimsy and I’m not sure it’ll stand the test of time, I guess we shall have to see. Finally a BR invasion with the terrier and B4 on the layout.
  15. Thanks, very much a what might have been! The gate is modelled directly on the main dock one, thought it would make a good addition. Mark
  16. Thanks Steve, its coming along nicely. Should be some updates early next week as i've got a long weekend from the big railway and a stash of details on their way currently. The B2 is rather nice, its orignally a NCB one however it has had a coat of Revell Flat blue over the top and will be weathered over time too. The New Hornby one coming out later this year would be a good match, NCB, Peckett B2 Class, 0-6-0ST, 1203/1910 'The Earl' - Era 6 Mark
  17. Over the last few days I have completed the hard standing in front of the warehouse buildings This has been weathered to look more uncared for that the other sections. Mark
  18. Had a bit of an operating session this evening so thought I’d share some pictures
  19. Thanks Andrew, as my first stone buildings I’ve done I’m pleasantly pleased with the end result. Mark
  20. Last week I received the final building again from @jrbat JSModels and over a couple of days had built and painted the kit. All that’s left to do is to glaze it and possibly put some interior lights and an interior into it. The goods shed has also seen a bit of paint attention to make it look better and just requires weathering and lights too. Finally I have used some balsa wood and started to make the infills for the concreted section, just need to remember what thickness it is and order some more. Mark
  21. Hi Does anyone have a off cut section of the Gaugemaster/Faller Dockside walling kit they wouldn't mind parting with I need about 5-10cm worth but don't want to buy another kit just for that. Thanks Mark
  22. Thanks Steve, it makes a difference from just being wood at the front Mark
