A new interesting product in RhB 1:150... An italian small manufacturer, N-Kit, is going to produce a limited number of the RhB Sb-v container wagen (including the refrigerator container). The model is in metal, with photoetched parts and fusions. I have touched a draft in Nuremberg last february, it is really well made; the pictures display a model not finished yet. To ask for details / reservations: serluke#teletu.it It will be officially presented in Novegro ("Hobby Model Expo", Milano-Novegro) at the fair at the end of september. I will keep you informed with fresh picts. Cost: about 110 euro (container included)...

AB Modell is now offering the Pirata flat freight car also in Nm: the conversion was made by using the bogie of the sliding-door freight car by MDS... http://www.n-schmalspur.de/neu18-11.pdf

Code 30 rail in coil - how to straighten it up
VanBasten replied to VanBasten's topic in 2mm Finescale
Thanks Phil, I will check these messages. I missed to say I have ordered and received also the Code 40 striprail, together with many pre-cutted sleepers... Thanks again! -
Hi all, I have joined recently the association, and ordered some useful staff for my hand-built tracks. I have also got some code 30 rail, that arrived in coil. My question: how I can straighten up the rail? are there eventually any links to some guides? First time I see rail in this way Thanks a lot for your help,

As far as I know, Stadt im Modell will produce their N buildings in 1:155 scale - that's smart, as they will cover both the markets (Nm and Kato scale)...
-
In Nuremberg I saw the new Kato Ge 4/4 II, in the picts you see a sample almost finished (not finished yet). The model is really nice, look at the fine pantograph and at the loco front...

I have always used, for my N and Nm points, a different option for tiebars. A preliminary note: I am producing my own points since many years, and I am really interested in Templot as a great source for the complete making of my future Nm modules. My problem is that (living in Italy) I am really in the metric system, really far from inches etc. and this is a big problem from me. Do Templot consent to pass to the metric system? I am scrolling through old messages Tiebars: I am using, for the bar, a plastic sleeper (a bit wider in dimensions that the PCB ones) drilled in two places (in order to have the right space between the rails), so to have two little holes that will host two "L" 0,5 mm wires bent to 90° and soldered to the really end of the blades. These two wires, entered in the holes of the plastic bar, will attach the rails to the bar (see the picture, the Nm three-way point is still to be finished).

The price of the loco has been upgraded, now on their site the Ge 4/4 II is offered at less than 150 euro (red livery version). Absolutely interesting.

Yes, models are fantastic. Try to mail them directly: office @ mds-modell.eu

MDS Modell presented in Stuttgart in these days (at the ENSC, the European N Scale Convention 2017) some 1:150, for 9 mm gauge, RhB models. A totally new Ge 4/4 II (very well done) is their first loco, offered in different liveries. Impressive. Only plastic production, very high industrial quality IMHO. Prices for the loco are about 180 euro, foreseen digital models + sound. Fantastic are also the Haik-v freight cars, again in plastic and offered in many liveries (Valser, RhB with red or blue stripes, Calanda Brau, HG Commerciale). The price is simply incredible - only 27,5 euro each, sets of two cars are offered at 52,5 euro. My impression has been excellent, these are great pieces. Perfect companions to the Kato models... https://mds-modell.eu/produkte/

Bemo Glacier and Bernina Express now in HO
VanBasten replied to wollastonblue's topic in Swiss Railways
I remember I saw years ago some prototypes from Bemo in Nurnberg, at the Toy Fair. I think they are following the Kato path (Kato's RhB "wrong gauge" is probably the best selling worldwide for N...). How many modellers would like to run on their "normal H0" layout the beloved RhB convoys? -
I like it, a very nice tunnel portal...

Lo.Co models deserved (throughout the years) a really good reputation in Italy. Very nice models that run really well.
-
-
Well, being in photo-etched brass and assembled by hand, maybe it is not cheap - but neither so expensive (expecially if you consider the "normal" Nm models price)...
-
Yes, as far as I know the Pirata's should be ready for summer. Just e-mail them, they are very friendly, for being pirates
-
Paul, no problems at all I am curious too to see whether it can be used after having cut off the plate and adjusted a bit the pole base...
-
Well, I just wanted to let you see another Kato news - I am really curious to see it as I never saw a japanese-style pole. As I am modelling Nm, I know quite well Michael Bange and N-Track production
