  1. The wagons look pretty great, too - especially the detail on the interiors.
  2. Surely this is Google Earth?! Just half a century or so ahead of its time!
  3. Those black-and-white photos look really great!
  4. It is well worth a second look!
  5. What would be transported in these, please?
  6. Just don't put them on a bridge! 🙂
  7. Pay attention, that (Winslow) boy!
  8. The top photo shows the great sense of perspective achieved by the excellent modelling. It really looks as though it is quite a long train, tailing off into the distance, rather than (as I suspect is the case) being backed up against the wall just under the bridge.
  9. Sounds like an elegant solution to the new situation! I hope that the diffuser works as advertised - who needs sound when you can have smells?!
  10. I like the ballasting!
  11. Be honest! Is there an engine on the front of those trucks?! :-)
  12. That is a great camera angle, and a fine-looking engine! Is the backscene photo-realistic, and how do you get it to blend in so seamlessly, please?
  13. Thank you very much. I have looked at the Ratio kit online previously, but wasn't too sure that the windows on the first floor were the correct spacing for what I wanted. Do you think that it would be relatively easy to change the spacing, or is that a job for an advanced modeller, please? Thanks.
  14. What model is the signal box from, please? And how did you do the nameplate for it? Thanks.
  15. Not odd at all! I find that there is a certain attraction in slight decrepitude - possibly because I am in that state myself! :-)
  16. Really evocative pictures - although the leaf-litter on the ballast makes me think of Autumn rather than Spring! :-)
  17. Will there be a 'count the rivets' competition for the children? All-day breakfasts on a shovel? Sounds like fun - I am looking forward to it!
  18. Clearly a young man of some discernment!
  19. The only problem is we will miss the pictures and updates! :-)
  20. Depends how long it takes! I've been pondering over 40 years, and not yet made a start! :-)
  21. I look forward to seeing it in action! :-)
  22. Great close-up, showing the detailed work that has gone into this.
  23. The first photo, with the train emerging from the tunnel, and the slight misting round the edges looks particularly appropriate for the subject!
  24. That looks like very detailed work. Do you use magnification or just have good eyesight and a steady hand?
  25. Is there anything that you would recommend, please?
