  1. It's the way biff does his sound files it will only do that the first time it moves after starting the engine. Something like releasing the hand brake-willing to be corrected ! Biff can advise if it can be altered by cv but i think its part of the sound file. His 37 do it as well. Can be annoying if you have a lot of shorts and the engine has to restart.
  2. When I contacted Accurascale about the loco not moving at low speed steps Simon suggested altering the cvs to the same settings that you mentioned. Unfortunately this now means the loco moves before the brake release sounds.
  3. the same thing happens with both 37026 and 37051 that I have . I contacted Accurascale support , Simon is looking in to it .
  4. Having running issues with my efe rail class 144 on dcc. Have sent it back to Bachmann and was returned and told ran well on dc. It still runs erratic as it accelerates. Any thoughts? I have already set cv 53 to 0. Regards oulton TMD
  5. Has anyone managed to alter the wiring of the 59s so the smoke unit is controlled from the chip- by use of a function button- rather than from the fitted PCB?
  6. From the limited information I have it would appear any chip fitted has no control over the smoke unit. the smoke generator is fed directly from the main board and works off motor load . Hence only operating when the loco moves and will not work again until the loco stops and moves off again . Happy to be corrected if anyone know different
  7. Is road and rails and legoman biffos sound the same ?

  10. Hi does anyone produce the bell to go onto the class 59?
  11. sorry but what do you mean by DC suppression? the suppressors that are fitted to the original pcb? the main board has been completely removed and the xl chip used.
  12. I have now run the loco with another Lenz controller and so far the loco has not faulted so at the moment it looks like one of my lenz LZV100 is struggling with high load situations. I am setting the layout up over the weekend and will test it again then and post the outcome .
  13. Hi I have a problem with a Heljan class 37 O gauge DDC sound fitted loco. when you go to full power the loco moves a few feet the locks up, the sound stop but the lights stay on. the controller has no effect on the loco. the power has to be removed from the track before the loco will restart. this problem has now happens with two locos both fitted with Loksound v5 xl decoders, they are bifs 37/4 wheel slip sound files. Bif kindly sent the files for me to re-blow them but it has not solved the problem. anyone out there had a similar problem? any help appreciated.
