A Happy New Year to all Chumley End followers . Will do my best Andy to get something working before the Spring I have been doing a bit of wiring over last couple of days mainly because it's warmer in the shed than the house at present but next week a NEW BOILER arrives (no I'm not changing my partner) so hopefully the cottage will not feel like 'Bleak House on the Hill' Most of the point feeds have been installed just got to wire up the threeway point which will be fun indeed .....think I will follow what I did on Chester Northgate Shed. I have managed to get the Megapoint system servos to work on the workbench so just need to design a control panel

A Happy New Year from Chester Northgate shed to all who have followed my thread this year. Layout is booked to appear at the Wigan Show 2017 so there will be some updates and added extras to be done during this coming year. I'm hoping to add a J10 or two to the roster in time for Wigan as they were several still on shed here up to the end of the 1950's I have actually got three kit built examples in the project box so I'm hoping to least get two working with new more up 'to date motor and gear box drive systems' which will work better on the DCC control. Also all are in LNER livery so will have to be respayed and suitably weathered . I have also managed to purchase another 00 works C13 which will need DCC conversation with sound again they were good engines that were still around up the 1959 operating the Wrexham and New Brighton services.

Hi Andy This is looking really interesting like the way you have got a run round loop into the plan will make for far more interesting operation. I mention the old Shrewsbury Abbey station earlier part of the Shropshire & Montgomery Railway which was of course part of the MOD system in the surrounding area and have been digging through my photo's as I knew i had a shot of an 08 shunter in operation at the Shrewsbury end Looking forward to seeing this one develop mate
