Oh Dear another shuffling of the pack making the whole operation of was once the envy of the world one big gamble .....sounds as if Network Rail will become even more like a civil service department dishing out directives and reprimands to the real railway people.
I'll second that the SLW Class 24 sound project is 'Amazing' (got to say that after spending all that money)
Have to say that the Heljan Class 25 does look good now you've weathered it Jintyman I wasn't convinced by them when I first saw the model but having said that who ever saw a clean one
Wow Andy you have been a busy boy ........ can't believe you've got Three 08's...... you cornering the market mate there won't be any left for me
Well the canvas is prepared let's get painting
Looking forward to seeing what develops in the old potting shed though I'm sure you could get something along the top end of the shed ...space of an 'N' gauge maybe
I inspected both DCC and Peco track samples at Warley as I'm sure many others have also done. My personal view is that the Peco track is the one that i will go for the simple reason that it looked and felt a great deal stronger as well is being Nickel silver which I know works well. The Peco point sample looked good and if this is going to be the look and standard it will do for me.
Agree with that advice Andy until you have constructed a 7km layout one never knows what you are going to feel. You might miss the longer trains a that you have enjoyed in 4mm scale and the more open ended scene that it can create. If like me you will get more into the prototype operational side of running trains giving more attention to signalling etc and adding car greater detail into everything surrounding the track . Best of luck and enjoy
Who's an excited little boy then ....I really do think you should have waited till Christmas Day young Andy didn't even get the wrapping paper on he he he
Hi Andy so sorry about your ingress of water. I think the best thing to do is hire an air blower and get some air circulation around the affected area. Many would tell you to get a dehumidifier but I would advise against that as on wood they can do more harm than good. The wood hasn't been wet for long so air flow will do the job. Don't use to much heat either a natural dry will be best. Let me know how you get on
It's because you can't play trains that your progress on the making the track fatter has been going so well. i would suggest you finish the track before playing Have to admit it does look good well done you deserve a medal for what you have achieved .
