  1. I bought an E6031 from the Kernow sale a few days ago. To be honest I had misgivings about the model based on previous form although I'd long wanted a 73. However, having had it out on test I am very pleased. It runs like a dream with none of the issues that had been reported on earlier releases.
  2. I am now intrigued by these wagons and the freight flow they were used for. However, studying my Baker rail atlas of the time I cannot work out the route these trains took. Can anybody assist ?
  3. I have just come across this thread and I know the information is a bit late in coming but this may be of interest. On the 25th June 1991 the 10:00 Waterloo to Salisbury was hauled by 50 017 ‘Royal Oak’. The stock on this train was recorded as being: 5378 / 5433 / 5449 / 17073 / 6500 / 17056 / 5455 / 5309 / 5494.
  4. Having enlarged the photo and made it brighter it would appear to be 72008 if that helps...
  5. Absolutely fantastic video. I am not very confident at stripping things down but this was most useful. I have a Heljan Hymek that has a similar ( but not as extreme) problem. I may have a go...

Thanks for that. That was going to be plan 'B'. I am much reassured.

    Dapol Class 22

Help with headcodes would be appreciated. I have just acquired a Kernow weathered 22 and wish to fit headcodes. Since I am very much a novice at alll things practical am I right in assuming that the headcodes as supplied are supposed just to be stuck over the glass pannel ? I have noticed elsewhere in this forum that people have used headcodes from other models such as the Heljan 52 which is what I intend to do but for the life of me I cannot remove the glass pannels. I have tried the blue tac method which worked brilliantly with the class 17 but is not having any effect this time round. Any suggestions would be appreciated... The valences that seem to have caused issues fitted well and were the least cause of stress !
