I am afraid that many of you are going off in the wrong direction. Two 'Terriers' were converted to run as 2-4-0s, not 0-4-2s See attached photos Michael -
Hello Many thanks for the comprehensive list of intended loco bodies in 3D. Am I right in thinking that it is your intention to produce all these and others as 3D basic shapes in 4mm scale for modellers to complete? If so, when will you be able to produce a pricing structure and photos of the 3D creation? My particular interest would be Craven locos If this is your intention, can I join Gary in asking for a Manning Wardle (Preferably the 4-wheel version) I have quite a few 4mm scale drawings of GWR and LNWR locos and rolling stock which I can e-mail to you when you might want them Michael

If you want to go back to the early days of the Railways, then I recommend 'The First Railways' by Derek Hayes, published by The Times It will start you from day one. I am modelling the LBSCR during the Craven era and have found many of the previous posters to this thread to have been very helpful to me with info, maps, phots et al, I refer you to http://www.lbscr.org/Models/Journal/LBSCR-Modellers-Digest-6.pdf Michael -
I have disposed of all my SECR/LCDR coaches and the locos are to follow. They are the result of many years modelling. SECR are in Wainwright livers, and naturally LCDR are in appropriate livery. Most have spent the ir lives in showcases,so need running in, and I believe one or two have 'glitches' The coaches were placed on Ebay but the locos have not been listed yet. I can create a list of locos if interested

7mm Steve Beattie Class 15 kit.
mikeandnel replied to M51625's topic in Kitbuilding & Scratchbuilding
Hello Steve If you are a kit builder, are you interested in building kits for other people? Michael -
Can anyone out there please offer any help with building, and perhaps painting and lining, some loco kits for me. I am now 85 years of age and suffering from Parkinsons Disease, so am unable to do the kits myself any more. I do have help already but the gentleman concerned has an ailing mother and has not been well himself. This means that his lead times are extended and, at my age, I would like to see these kits built and running before I shuffle off this mortal coil! My layout is EM gauge and LBSCR orientated. Kits to be done are etched brass or white metal. Naturally I would intend to pay for any help, subject to agreement If anyone has spare modelling capacity , I would like to hear from you Thank you

Modelling in the Antipodes
mikeandnel commented on Richard Jones's blog entry in Richard Jones' Blog
Hello Richard May w wish you both a very Happy & Healthy New Year. Is taking modelling to the other side of the world, a bit over the top?? And what is all this about 'O' gauge? Have you finished Singleton? When do you expect to be back here in UK? Anyway best regards Michael -
Hello Gary Sounds as if you had a good Christmas with some-one giving it some thought. Much better than the traditional socks. You seem to be getting on faster with Oak Hill than I am with Midhurst 1866. I am a bit stuck as my loco builder has family and health problems and any work that I give him can take up to 18 months to arrive back if I am lucky. Being 85 in March does not make that a viable time to have wait for items. I can still do some things myself but Parkinsons and soldering irons do not mix as I can testify. If you know of anyone in your club or elsewhere who would like to build a few locos in return for money, I would be grateful for any lead. Incidentally, by the sound of your last posting, it seems that your health is improving! Michael
