  1. My preference would be for types 8 and 9 which were in use at the time of my layout Type 6 would be second choice Thanks for asking
  2. Your method of production would appear to be very suitable for creating Craven coaches. Any possibility of that happening before bogie coaches please?
  3. Ladies & Gentlemen Is there any way we can get back to the main thread of this listing and avoid all the drivel. I have Parkinsons, and to plough through all the postings which are not relevant to the original subject is hard work. Many thanks for the useful postings though
  4. EB Models already supply a kit for Craven/Stroudley 0-4-2 tanks nos 18 & 21 and it makes up very nicely Michael
  5. I am afraid that many of you are going off in the wrong direction. Two 'Terriers' were converted to run as 2-4-0s, not 0-4-2s See attached photos Michael
  6. Hello Many thanks for the comprehensive list of intended loco bodies in 3D. Am I right in thinking that it is your intention to produce all these and others as 3D basic shapes in 4mm scale for modellers to complete? If so, when will you be able to produce a pricing structure and photos of the 3D creation? My particular interest would be Craven locos If this is your intention, can I join Gary in asking for a Manning Wardle (Preferably the 4-wheel version) I have quite a few 4mm scale drawings of GWR and LNWR locos and rolling stock which I can e-mail to you when you might want them Michael
  7. Where ca I find your list of what you are offering please. Any Brighton locos or other stock in your thoughts?
  8. Can you give more details about the 'Cudworth' and the wagon kits please
  9. If you want to go back to the early days of the Railways, then I recommend 'The First Railways' by Derek Hayes, published by The Times It will start you from day one. I am modelling the LBSCR during the Craven era and have found many of the previous posters to this thread to have been very helpful to me with info, maps, phots et al, I refer you to http://www.lbscr.org/Models/Journal/LBSCR-Modellers-Digest-6.pdf Michael
  10. I have disposed of all my SECR/LCDR coaches and the locos are to follow. They are the result of many years modelling. SECR are in Wainwright livers, and naturally LCDR are in appropriate livery. Most have spent the ir lives in showcases,so need running in, and I believe one or two have 'glitches' The coaches were placed on Ebay but the locos have not been listed yet. I can create a list of locos if interested
  11. Any chance of a picture of the Ankh-Morpork and Sto Plains Hygienic Railway wagon please?
  12. I sense a Terry Pratchett fan here. Welcome to the fold I have some LCDR locos for disposal but they are EM gauge
  13. Yes, and me too. I have every intention of chopping something about in order to acquire number 400 for Midhurst LBSCR Station 1866 I have a large coloured painting of it on the wall of my railway room, and it is there every day to remind me to get on with it! Michael
  14. Well done Gary and congratulations I have followed your thread since it's inception and think you have achieved a lot. If I get a quarter of the interest you have had with my Midhurst LBSCR Station 1866 I shall be very happy Keep up the good work and the postings Best regards
  15. Hello Steve If you are a kit builder, are you interested in building kits for other people? Michael
  16. Can anyone out there please offer any help with building, and perhaps painting and lining, some loco kits for me. I am now 85 years of age and suffering from Parkinsons Disease, so am unable to do the kits myself any more. I do have help already but the gentleman concerned has an ailing mother and has not been well himself. This means that his lead times are extended and, at my age, I would like to see these kits built and running before I shuffle off this mortal coil! My layout is EM gauge and LBSCR orientated. Kits to be done are etched brass or white metal. Naturally I would intend to pay for any help, subject to agreement If anyone has spare modelling capacity , I would like to hear from you Thank you
  17. Hello Richard May w wish you both a very Happy & Healthy New Year. Is taking modelling to the other side of the world, a bit over the top?? And what is all this about 'O' gauge? Have you finished Singleton? When do you expect to be back here in UK? Anyway best regards Michael
  18. Hello Gary Sounds as if you had a good Christmas with some-one giving it some thought. Much better than the traditional socks. You seem to be getting on faster with Oak Hill than I am with Midhurst 1866. I am a bit stuck as my loco builder has family and health problems and any work that I give him can take up to 18 months to arrive back if I am lucky. Being 85 in March does not make that a viable time to have wait for items. I can still do some things myself but Parkinsons and soldering irons do not mix as I can testify. If you know of anyone in your club or elsewhere who would like to build a few locos in return for money, I would be grateful for any lead. Incidentally, by the sound of your last posting, it seems that your health is improving! Michael
  19. Hello Gary. Good news. Let us hope that was all a false alarm. Keep your fingers crossed and your chin up! All the very best Michael dJS
  20. Hello Gary Sorry to hear of your latest situation. Let us hope that they can get you sorted out and back to normal living as soon as possible All our best wishes to you Michael dJS
