  1. Superb work Lee, I especially like the Grids and the Railfreight Tug! Regards Lewis
  2. Hello Peter, That must have been a challenge to write! Regards Lewis
  3. Very nice work Peter, what does the writing say on the cab side of the 40? Regards Lewis
  4. Hello Bill, Thanks for posting the images and description. Looks like they require extra work per wagon/loco however they look far better than the NEMs. I will have a go at making a couple when I get time to. Regards Lewis
  5. Hello Bill, Thanks much appreciated. Regards Lewis
  6. Hello Bill, Just a quick question. What type of couplings do you use on the locos and wagons? They look much less noticeable than the NEM tension locks. Regards Lewis
  7. Hello Peter, Thanks for posting the images. That's a clever way of having both the details and a coupling. Is that bungee cord you used? Regards Lewis
  8. Hello Peter, Superb work since I last had a look, Llanbourne is a very interesting layout. I've noticed your loco fleet has both Kadee couplings and the bufferbeam detailing fitted. Which type of Kadee couplings do you use and do you ever have any problems with the detailing getting in the way when the coupling swings on the curve? Regards Lewis
  9. Hello Bill, Yes for a relatively small space there is a decent amount of operating potential. The scenery is suitable too with the use of half relief buildings and landscape above and below the tracks. Following with interest. Regards Lewis
  10. Hello Chris, That's a good design, I was wondering how coupling and uncoupling was carried out during the video! Regards Lewis
  11. Good to see Boxenby is still progressing, superb detailing in the shed. What an incredible loco fleet! Regards Lewis
  12. A while since I last had a look at Orchard Road! Good to see it is popular at exhibitions. Nice detailing in the shed too. Regards Lewis
  13. Just been reading through the topic, Creedyford is an interesting design. I especially like the detailed buildings and trackwork. Regards Lewis
  14. Thanks for the reply, the Smiths couplings look far better than the NEM alternatives. How do you uncouple the 20s from the HAAs without 'the hand from the sky' ? Regards Lewis
  15. Haven't had a look at this layout for a while, nice collection of HAAs and Type 5s! Following the extension with interest. Regards Lewis
  16. Superb work with the OHLE and scenery, the station building is very impressive too. Regards Lewis
  17. Superb work on the rapid loader Chris, the video was very interesting! What couplings do you use for the HAAs and the 20s? Regards Lewis
  18. Here is the next loco I intend to detail once Hattons have it in stock. DB Schenker 60099 using the superb Hornby model as a base for further detailing and weathering. Here is the prototype at Latchford Sidings with a MGR to Fiddlers Ferry PS.
  19. Hello Chris One suggestion I can think of is Woodland Scenics coarse grade cinders. Its sold in large boxes and can be used as ballast for engine sheds but would be suitable for loading your MGRs. Another advantage is that there is no dust to damage your locos like there could be from charcoal. Here is the URL for Hattons http://www.ehattons.com/41873/Woodland_Scenics_B1390_Ballast_Shaker_Coarse_Cinders/StockDetail.aspx Regards Lewis
  20. Hello Chris Thanks for posting the photo of your HAAs, I look forward to seeing a full 36 wagon rake! I have space for 20 but it should still look ok. I think the new Hornby model will have metal wheels, which does improve the running quality, although they may still wobble a bit. Great work on the rapid loader doors, what do you plan on using for the 'coal'? Regards Lewis
  21. Superb work Chris, Kinsley is one of my favourite layouts on RM Web. Have you seen that Hornby is to sell 3x (old type) HAA MGRs under the Railroad brand for their 2012 range? Hattons is selling them for £14 for each 3 pack, which is a good price if you wanted to buy enough for a realistic length MGR. The detail isnt much different from the new type HAA, which are £18 each! Regards Lewis
  22. Nice pictures, great to see 60099 back on the Fiddlers MGR. I was surprised to see Hornby is making a model of it, I look forward to getting one!
  23. Hello I visited Monks Siding this Saturday to take some photos to help me model the location. Although the layout is not a replica of the prototype I do want to model some of the features of the prototype. I was surprised to see how many new houses had been built! Regards Lewis
