  1. Woo hoo I can get my order in soon then! We may have a rake of these running for the Ricoh show on kinlet wharf. Alistair
  2. They are working on the cad drawings at the moment, according to the latest club members magazine. Got a feeling it's going to be a while yet! Alistair
  3. In an earlier episode of downtown abbey they get on a correct LNER train for the 1920's. But in the background you have an 08 shunter in the yard and the loco shed has also got modern scaffolding around it. Alistair
  4. Oh no! They look very good. (Wallet running off down the road) Alistair
  5. I would expect that it is for the use if the livery more than the Loco itself. As without the livery the model is pointless! DRS have only ever allowed a sole transfer producer to do transfers, hence R3sprays and the one in Lincoln one before it. I think there is/was a payment to DRS's chosen charity involved in the deal in this instance. If I remember correctly. This could have some bearing on the situation. Alistair
  6. This is good news for n gauge and I hope that the 88 comes along quickly as I would like one of them as well. I'm half glad that Bachmann/Farish haven't got this one as we would be waiting for years to get the N gauge one like we did with the 70. Alistair
  7. Those look really good Ben can't wait for them to be released. Alistair
  8. You really work too quickly!!!!! And they look really really good aswell! Very impressed! Glad that you have made it so that the don't tip as it was the one thing that really annoyed me with the 00 ones as they would come off if they went derailed and if you were running with removeable ballast loads they would fall out. Hopefully these wont be released for a while so that I can catch up and buy the runner wagons and the nukes before these. Alistair
  9. I think that would probably be the best way to do the pendolino, the gent who was with me at the show was only put off as he doesn't have the patience to do all of the work for it I'm sure he would buy one if you did it that way. Was very good to meet you on Saturday and just seeing the nuke wagons made me want to order 2 on the spot!!!! Alistair
  10. Thank you for that! I was worried about fitting it together when I saw all of the pieces in both your and Gerry's pictures. Alistair
  11. I will definitely be there to see you on the Saturday! Quite looking forwards to meeting you, firstly to find out who will be taking some of my hard earned money away from other things and secondly to have a look at the other models you have on offer. Alistair
  12. Crane ordered. Can't wait! Just got to try and find the wheels I need! Do you ave any instructions on how to put the crane together? Alistair
  13. I had tried Osbourne's but they didn't have any will have a look at the NGS shop list. Im after about 15 pairs of different types just trying to work it out. Alistair
  14. cheers I will be making at least an order a month, for a few months with all of your models that I want. Alistair
  15. David, Where are you getting your ATM bogies from? As all of the places I have tried seem to have sold out. Also it seems like I ask this for each of your models but which ones is it for your IQA? got to be prepared for when you to make them available, so that they can hopefully be running in time for one of our outings in either September or October. Alistair
  16. I would be careful with the side tipping MRA as Dapol already do it in 00 so may have it in their plans to produce it in N. Otherwise all of the other models look like a good idea. Especially the Cowen Sheldon 75 ton crane. Would like to buy one of those when it is done! Just waiting for there to be a Kirow crane sized hole in my credit card and I will be buying the wagon and crane set! Alistair
  17. The show isn't until the middle of September but I am a really slow modeller!!! I will have to put in some orders then! Just waiting to see if I can get a cheap 158 so I can get your UFM160. Alistair
  18. David, What bogies are needed for the support wagons and what wheel sets for the actual crane? I remember you mentioning that it needed ATM bogies but I can't find what type I need to order. Got to get them ready and in stock if it is going to be on the layout for the next exhibition we are at! Also will you be doing a multiple pack for the whole train (crane and wagons)? Cheers
  19. As an n gauge modeller I have recently brought royal 47, a 2251 and a sound chip for a 4575. Shame they are all 00. What's going on here?

  21. Hi Mike, The difference is the material used on the pendolino and the crane. The network rail units and the crane, use the quite expensive Frosted Ultra Detail (FUD) where as the pendolino uses the rather cheaper white, strong and flexible (WSF). The WSF is used as a scratch building aid, rather than the FUD which is used as a 'finished model'. Alistair
  22. Will those containers be separate items for the buyer to glue on themselves? I'm just wondering as they would seem like a good place to put a bit of weight to aid the running. Also can you stop working so quickly I can't make enought money to buy your stuff! Alistair
  23. Looking good. Can't wait for it to be made available. Just what the overtime was done for!!! Alistair
  24. How is it possible to cut a 23 x 8x 2 mm out of a model and it still be the same weight as an unmodified one?
