Does anyone else frequently find themself spending longer (sometimes a lot longer) searching for something eaten by the Carpet Monster than it would have taken to make a replacement part?

Great Portland Street!
Sorry, been playing that damned tube map memory game and it was the only one in Zone 1 I couldn't think of and it's just come to me

Gapping copperclad sleepers, more tedious than ballasting

Sir Brian May.
It makes you feel so old when 70s rock stars get knighted!

Receiving small cardboard boxes in the post is a big part of modern life.
I'm the sort of person who keeps little boxes that "might be useful".
So why is it that when I want to send something in a small cardboard box I cannot find a suitable one anywhere?

What are people's loco fleet sizes like?
I have 2 x shunters & 6 x big diesels to operate 2 micro layouts 🤔

My new Antex XS25 is a lot hotter than my old one. Both still work, both same model. Is this a change to reflect lead-free working?

Back to building points for Ipswich

The photos disappeared in the recent problems on the site and I haven’t got round to re-uploading them yet. The station area boards all exist with track complete in p2,3&4 and the carriage/loco sidings, the London end helix is also finished. I’m working on the first board north of the Ancaster Road bridge at the moment. Currently 24 feet of what will be scenic boards are built, still a lot to go though.
I was a second man at Ipswich in 1985 and that is when the layout is set. All the loco changes etc.

.... wonders why the second wealthiest country in Europe is the least generous in offering sanctuary to those fleeing war. I'm ashamed to be British.
