I'm amazed that you can't see the great big gobs of PVA you used. The result shows that you don't need to over-think scenery - just do it and if the result is not quite right, go over it again. Lovely work.
I know about the tracks being on a platform that can be lowered for maintenance etc but how are you going to lift and gently place in position the roof when it is completed? From memory this roof is around two metres long?
I think I need to go back to about page two to see how you made your styrene cutter - doing it all yourself must be a much more rewarding exercise when everything starts to come together as well as this build.
Really nice. Must be nice to have a personal laser!

A small point - I like the car repair but the scrap to me doesn't look like car scrap. Some of it looks heavy enough to need a forklift to shift it. Perhaps old oil drums, tyres, wheels, etc? Bent up old car doors as well?
I know one of my favourite sayings is magic on a stick but this layout is magic on a postage stamp!!!!
I never realised it was '-t-h-a-t-' small... OK leave the rude replies out of it!
Just an update really - isn't it amazing that this new update features the railway only in the first four or so photos? The rest of the modelling just kept getting better and better!!!!!
Dunno about the pond or stream. I think it looks good as is.
Each successive layout you build gets to look more decrepit, run down, overgrown and generally used. Wonderful!!!!
My KB Scale Deutz is still in its box for the same reasons as Sir Madog states. I don't think I have the skills to do justice to the etch, let alone paint it properly (I don't own an airbrush etc).
I guess if you stuff up a building though, it can be rescued with another coat of paint but stuff up a loco and you have to clean it off before you can start all over again.

Enjoy. Laurie lives just up the road from me.
Now what would be really cool is if this technology could be used to recreate miniature copies of ourselves as participants on this railway!

And I see someone has been kind enough to leave a nice chewy golf bag to play with as well!
Maybe a post in the middle with a lead so walkies is sorted as well?
