I’m not sure if this has been covered before, Apologies if so . I’m Running hm7000 really well on my ogauge layout . I have a Dapol signal with a Train tech DCC controller . Works off the track but can I add Dcc accessories to the HM7000 controller on my IPad ? Can’t see anything in the app apart from accessories toolbar but can’t see how add accessories into this. Many thanks Simon
Not yet is the simple answer. I too await accessory control. I guess it will be a while off yet.

I've ordered 10 from China, I'm in no hurry for them

I couldn’t take a photo with the app on android (uploading one I took earlier wasn’t a problem) but I switched to an IPhone and this works perfect.
What brand of Android? It does not work on my Sony Xperia. It seems that it is the os that is blocking it even when the right permissions are set. The app is making all the right calls etc. It's not that much of a problem as you say, so pretty low diwn in the priority list

I still think it would be a good idea for Hornby to combine the electronics from their elite controller and the dongle in a single package, excluding unnecessary items such as function buttons and speed controls, to allow non- TXS locomotives to be controlled from a tablet. This would be a lot cheaper for those entering DCC who want to use HM7000 technology with non-TXS decoders but who do not want to also have to go to the expense of purchasing a "traditional" controller, on which the actual controls would not really be necessary. This would not be an expensive project for Hornby, as the necessary electronics are already available in the existing dongle and elite, but would be a real benefit for those moving into DCC control.
Roddy
I guess the intended path for newcomers is to use TXS exclusively and just buy an approved DC supply for the track. It's not in Hornby's interests to make it easier for folks to use "Legacy" decoders 😉

Out of interest what advantages are there of using the HM7000 app + dongle + Z21 vs Z21 app + Z21
For me, no need for the wifi router and the known issues of operating in a busy exhibition environment with the wifi being swamped.
You do lose the sync between the Z21 app and a multimuas handset though. Also the HM7000 app cannot control accessories at the moment, so the Multimaus will be needed to change the turnouts - no pushbuttons on Summat Colliery as backup

it is easy, or i found it easy, tho i got he elite controller, if you have spare printer lead, plug it into the select and PC, laptop, download the select update firmware and follow the onscreen instructions, again i only used an elite, if im wrong please correct me
It's a manual firmware update of the PIC microcontroller, can't be done over the air etc with the Select.

So has anyone used the robgke with a non Hornby base unit?

Would probably kill the decoder's amp if you used the Accurathrash without removing the sugarcube speaker on a TXS deocder.
You also won't get most of the lights to work with a TXS decoder.
Depends how the 37 is wired. I'm running an Accurathrash plus Hornby sugar cube in my DP1. speakers are wired in SERIES though.

Also.... thanks to @disco-dave and his Team at Xposure Creative for completely revamping our website

Who needs Ionos 😂

Just create your locos in the engine shed and assign them to the dongle device 😁🚂🚂🚂

Just posted an update about our main layout this year on Facebook and the website, here's a copy:
Our Main layout in the lounge this year is Brinkley Town from our friends at the ERS. A brand new layout, never been seen before on the circuit. Here’s what they say about it:
Brinkley town is a fictional OO gauge continuous run layout loosely based in the 1960’s to 80’s era. The layout has been wired for both DC and DCC operation to allow a wide selection of locos to be used on the layout. The layout also features an automatic shuttle track for a DMU running into Brinkley Road Halt. The main station consists of three platforms and an adjacent goods yard which sees regular shunting of a variety of wagons.
Come along and be the first to see this super layout!

the question is why you would put a very much budget decoder in a very much high end loco is also appropriate?

Will be interesting when it comes to tactics as the team should now favour Russsel unless Hamilton darts out of the blocks in race one.
The question is how will Ferrari behave this year if the Ferrari is not looking like beating Max and Lewis is looking racy. Will they go all tactical to try to make sure they have number 1 on their car for 2025. Ok, it would be 44, but you know what I mean

Great, thank you for the information obviously the HM7000 will not work. I should have ordered it with it fitted, it is normally a lot cheaper that way. It is such a long time ago when I ordered it I cannot remember my reasoning.
Don't get me wrong, some of the features may work, I don't know what functions are available on the 56 and what F0 numbers they are physically attached to

I have just received my model does anyone know if there are any special considerations for the DCC decoder? I was thinking of using a Hornby HM7000 but will all the lights and fans work
Unlikely as I think I've said before, unless Cavalex have their lighting mapped as below:
F0... Directional Lighting (HFO1 and HFO2) – (if installed.)
F21… Aux 1 (High level function output typically used for controlling LED lighting etc.) HFO3
F22… Aux 2 (High level function output typically used for controlling LED lighting etc.) HFO4
F23… Aux 3 (Low level digital function output for controlling other electronics within the loco.) HFO5
F24… Aux 4 (Low level digital function output for controlling other electronics within the loco.) HFO6Function mapping is not available for the HM7000 series

A much deserved return to F1 for Pastor Maldonado?
I was amazed watching Pointless last night that Pastor won a race. His only podium too!

I had an approach on LinkedIn yesterday dangling the carrot for another Document Controller role. I sent it to my bosses just to let them know I was in demand.
I suspect LH may be doing similar.
Does not do any harm keeping the high ups on their toes 😉
EDIT: I see this is post #88 on this topic, those who know me from the past would recognise the significance of this race number .....

Exclusive NCB wagons from Rapido for BRM/RMweb/World of Railways

If I had the RM tracking I could change the delivery etc. It's very odd these days for even low value items not to be shipped without the recipient being notified with tracking info.
