Hi all, I've been on holiday and have a few odd jobs like this pending - planning to do a sweep of everything tomorrow.

Hi Craig, You have the double combo of Australia + multiple locos so yours will be among the last to go I'm afraid, but should be en route by early next week at the latest. -

Most of the! Back at it this morning and we should have everything cleared by Monday or Tuesday - you'll receive an email notification when yours goes out. If anyone placed a pre-order for a DCC Sound loco and hasn't paid the balance please check your email for an invoice or ping me a message here or at info@planetindustrials.co.uk. After a grace period any remaining stock will be reallocated for sale as we know there is demand for it. -

We're currently working through our DCC Sound pre-orders (thanks for your patience, everyone, it's been a mission!) and once these are cleared and we have an accurate picture of what's left we'll offer any remaining decoders for sale to DC loco customers. -

The main body colour for the maroon livery was specified as RAL3011 Brown Red. -
Go easy on it if you find it passed out under a bush after last orders.

My understanding is that the production run is now fully sold by the producer - retailers may still have some hanging about.

The Rails Connect decoders we used for our non-sound DCC pre-orders had heat shrink around them so insulating tape was not necessary - we also flipped CV29 during installation so they go in the right direction out of the box. The wiring layout is apparently a common foible of our manufacturing partner. At the time the model notes were written we weren't aware that the decoder and circuit board could potentially touch - when the sound models go out they will have additional user notes to this effect along with details of the functions available etc. Paul C has also preset the direction setting on the sound project but we will check in case any models are wired the "right" way around. I'm still not willing to commit to a definite ETA on the sound decoders but it does look like the end is in sight, thank you everyone for your patience! -

The sound project has been configured for a Zimo chip from the beginning. We are starting to hear encouraging noises in terms of supply but until we know the decoders are in hand we don't want to commit to a date. Sorry to keep everyone waiting! Pre-orders for non-sound DCC fitted locos were dispatched this week. -

Sorry to hear this! If you haven't already done so I would recommend trying a drop of oil on the bearings at each end of the motor - you'll need to carefully detach the speaker enclosure above the gearbox to access the rear bearing. In our experience this clears up the majority of noise issues with the Victory. If you would prefer not to attempt this or are still having problems afterwards drop us a line to info@planetindustrials.co.uk and we can take a look at it for you. -

James has been working on the Lambton conversion kit - we should have some progress in the near future. It would unfortunately have been prohibitively expensive to tool it as a RTR variant as it's a bit of a niche interest. -
I decided to guess rather than count.

Unfortunately we are still at the mercy of Zimo on this one - as soon as we have any more info we will share it. -

Thanks everyone, all suggestions are noted! The next chapter in the PI story is underway, we'll share more in due course... -

The awkward answer is "it depends". The etched overlays for riveted tanks are pretty easy to draw up although our etcher is now at capacity for this year so it would be early 2023 for those. Sourcing new boiler components is a bit variable depending on whether these are cast or printed. The other alternative is if we do a further production run of the loco, then a GWR livery on the current tooling with perhaps a new safety valve cover is a possibility. -

At the moment this is a commission for a personal customer of James's (and not prototypical to the Victory in any way!) but it would be easy enough to make the parts available if there's interest.
