  1. On the subject of J94's, are the magnetic smokebox doors available separately? I would like one with out the smokebox numberplate on it.
  2. hi, could anyone scan and send me the salmon wagon article from the June 2018 BRM? I no longer have my copy as I gave it to an elderly neighbour who no longer has it. any help would be great. thanks in advance. Dan
  3. Question not worthy of a thread. Is there any difference between alan gibson 4012 and 4007 wheels apart from the disc breaks?

  4. All, Just a quick update. I contact Kelsey today and enquired about my order. The lady on the phone was very polite and said that there had been a delay in the warehouse dispatch, which she apologised for, and said the bookazine should be with me with 5 days.
  5. Although no where near my era or sphere of operation, these will look very good. I like the look of the prototypes and these will compliment the Dapol 68's nicely. nice to see new coaches being catered for instead of waiting years. well done.
  6. Ordered from the publisher over a week ago and after publication date. still nothing. The series of books is very very good, sadly let down very badly by Kelsey publishing. They seem to prioritise double bagging old 'moving the goods' and filling shelves with them than the new publications. poor show really.
  7. The fitters have a busy night fitting the buffers to the grid. its an awesome layout mate.
  8. Hi all, The dcc concepts wheel reamer, is this the tool needed to open up Lima bearings to accept Bachmann/Hornby wheels? thanks in advance Dan
  9. Alex, usual story, no copies in any WHSmiths in the Peterborough area.
  10. 8 wagons kits built whilst RMweb was off line. Andy whens the next update so I can plan their painting! ha :D

  11. ahh ok. thank you for looking, all my old catalogues are in the loft.
  12. I may be being thick, but how to I find 'new content' like I did on the old forum. so all the recent thread appear?

    thanks

  13. I was looking through the new catalogue and have seen that Bachmann seemed to have changed or dropped the J72 69001. can anyone confirm this as I had this loco on pre-order to replace my mainline 69001 I have had for two decades! thanks in advance,
  14. Howard, is it possible to buy extra terraced houses separate from the mag? I have the new issue but would like a few more houses to join together and buying up lots of magazines just seems very wasteful. thanks Dan
  15. thank you Andy, appreciate the response. liking the new look. thank you for all your efforts.
  16. will the 'my content' function be back in the top left corner with our user name drop down as it was before. if it is there, apologies, but I couldn't find it. regards Dan
  17. looks good. thank you to all for the hard work you put into the forum.

  18. i have seen on their facebook page GBRf are repainting 50007 and 50049 into GBRf livery, and no its not April 1st! the computer images doesn't look too bad, and it is only a coat of paint after all. hopefully they'll stray to the GB Shed at Peterborough
  19. I will admit i feel the ‘announcement’ could be a bit of PR disaster, i understand that it makes business sense to consolidate and catch up, but will this not lead to larger gaps between whats been announced and then what they may announce next year? And on the face that next year Hornby celebrate 100 years ( see advert on rear page of their catalogue) i hope that next years announcment isnt overshadowed by the red team who may go all out for their centenary year. That being said some re-liveries are welcome 37012 in particular, although personally id have liked to have seen that loco in br blue/small white stripe, and the servicing point looks very good indeed. And of course its always nice to see some more NSE units.
  20. Hi. Last night I started to strip down the VEP, the motor coach glazing came out a doddle, but one of the end cars was a completely different story. The glazing was glued in with so much glue a lot has shattered upon removal, even after scrapping away with a sharp scalpel. luckily the end panel came out without any damage, as did the cab side windows. does anyone make replacement glazing? laserglaze or such? any help would be great. thank you
  21. Thank you, I will defiantly be doing the paint mod to it. it looks so much better. thanks for the info.
  22. Swindon, if you could, could you post some closer pics of the paint mod, I've been too-ing and throwing about which one to get, and seeing this with a modified front end may have swayed me to this one. thank you
  23. I'd personally say there is a huge market for industrials. most are sell outs. I have a peckett, have pre-order an 0-6-0 version and will get a Barclay when funds allow. I also have this on my wants list. the more small industrial tank the better. I can only hope someone does a HC 1800
  24. Pre-ordered a Sherwood from Trains4u. Its a lovely looking model. Has anyone got any pics of the real thing? Done a google image search but to no avail.
  25. Hi all, I have obtained a second hand VEP in all over BR Blue and have the intention of re spraying it into NSE. however I have hit a snag early on. The glazing has the orange curtains printed directly onto it. Is there a known way of removing this without harming the clear plastic? or should I look at the laser glaze/replacement route? regards Dan
