  1. Brian, from your photos it looks like you have the correct running plate for 08 946. Can't wait to see the finished job, I presume you'll finish it in BR Blue? I do wish you hadn't started this thread
  2. Brian, I can see the kit allows for variations in Cab Doors and also the cabinets; does it cover the variation in the running plate? Up to 08698 (D3865) the running plate had a lip at the top and a fillet that projects downwards at the rear end of the running plate to the buffer beam, 08699 (D3866) onwards did not have either feature, the running plates were plain and had no fillet to the rear buffer beam.
  3. We finally lost our Cocker Spaniel Today to Cancer, aged 13 years 10 months. R.I.P Rosie.

Rosie would have been 14 today.

  4. Once you have a SprogII you will wonder how you managed without it! Used with Decoderpro http://jmri.sourceforge.net/help/en/html/apps/DecoderPro/index.shtml it's a very usful tool.
  5. Hello Dave, Many thanks for you relpy, very informative. I do have a Wife and also a Laminator, so I'll give it a try.
  6. Hi Dave, how do you produce the lettering and lines on your mimic panel?
  7. Thanks for the update Dave, look forward to the Point Control & Mimic panel.
  8. Have you tried http://www.sherwoodmodels.co.uk/osc/index.php?cPath=22_212 ?

    Dapol Class 22

At an estimated £125, I don't think it will sell too well if it's not 100%

I also notice the lack of comment from Dapoldave on this thread although he has commented on the Western Thread.

I placed a pre-release order for a D6300 / Class 22 just approaching 2 years ago and am still waiting, not a problem as there were some issues with losing the original drawings and presumably their back-ups. Dapol have recently announced further 'OO' Models: I think that Dapol need to learn to walk before they run, there is so much at stake with the D6300 (and it’s successors) that they can’t afford not to get it 100% right, first time.
  12. I quite agree, although my interest in Black livery is slowing growing on me

Hi Trevor, Many thanks for your reply. Late 66 is a bit late for my proposed layout. I'm looking for a D63XX with Standard Headcode Boxes in GSY. I think I'll cancel my pre-order and wait to see what happens. What a mess

So it looks like My pre-orde for:- D1000c: D6324 split box GSY is going to have the wrong headcode boxes?

    Dapol Class 22

My pre-order is for:- D1000c: D6324 split box GSY is the catologue describing D1000c: as D6314 split box GSY ?
  16. See post above from Andy M re: 1608 on Moretonhampstead line.
  17. Sorry Captain I missed this one. I have NuCast Kit as the basis although the chassis will probably need to be scratch built. Was hoping Bachmann or Hornby would do something, a 16xx, 64xx/74xx, no chance
  18. That's true, although I think it's up for sale / swap.
  19. Very nice Loco, don't think I'll get away with having one on the Moretonhamstead Line
  20. What an excellant job you've done. Reminds me of when I was a lad, I used to ride on the cab of 47500 & 47521 whilst shunting at Blecthley Station.
  21. General Shunting Duties, adding / removing vans coaches etc to from trains. Removing stock from terminating trains and placing the stock in carriage sidings, that sort of thing.

It did look nice, but fell short of the 'wow' factor for me; although there is still more to be done on the tooling so we'll have to wait and see.
  23. Great images, I used to enjoy the NREA visits around Toton TMD, happy days.
