  1. I think I've sussed it! The local 'major' operator around here is National Express West Midlands. A curious relic in their fleet is 3225 (MOF225), a 1954 Crossley bodied Daimler CVG6, which is used for special duties: Considering that Canadians have an 'affinity' with Bears, I'm fairly sure I tracked down the Rapido pre-scanned '3225' earlier today: Do I win a prize? (Serious note, '3225' is part of a fundraising campaign for a worthy cause http://thebigsleuth.co.uk/ )

  6. I'd prefer not to be 'political' anywhere to be honest, I don't generally find the topic appealing. It's basically down to the disgusting rising levels of homelessness in this country. In any town or city, you see countless pathetic figures, shunned by an uncaring ruling body. More telling, there's an industrial estate not far from here that I use as a short cut during the day that has a 'shanty town' riddled with homeless ephemera. The nocturnal occupants aren't jobless, they're obviously working on the estate but not earning enough to afford the accommodation in, to be honest, not one of the most well appointed areas of Birmingham. And that is just WRONG. This is a terrible wrong that needs righting. And any 'body' that considers reinstating barbaric slaughter for the obscene entertainment of fancy-dress wearers, before far more pressing matters is patently NOT fit to rule. - Whatever colour they are.
  7. Ok. Well, mayors at least! : I'm hearing that Andy Burnham will be donating 15% of his Mayoral income to help tackle homelessness. Now, our Midlands Mayor, Andy Street, is on record as having a similar 'commitment to tackling rough sleeping and homelessness in the region'. So, will he match or outdo Burnham's gesture (not too much to ask, to help counter his parties causality now, should it? - Particularly for someone who can justify splurging a million on a job application??) .. or will it be yet another blue election lie ?
  8. I knew the Foxhunting ban would he high on the list of sensible things for them to b#gger up next. I mean, it's just not fun enough if you can only make humans suffer....
