  1. There's no need to "discover" the address simply re-programme it with a new address.
  2. Don't forget the Birmingham Snow Hill "Bonger"!
  3. Alan Gibson does lowmac wheels.
  4. No - make sure the aluminium is not anodised.
  5. First question is which style of fencing are you referring to? Sawn Diagonal, Close Boarded Fencing, Sawn Paled Fencing, Post and five rail fence, Wrought Paled Fence or Unclimbable Iron Fence? All fences were creosoted except the Wrought Paled which was painted white and the Unclimbable which was black.
  6. That's because LED dimmers work with a PWM output to the LED. not by simply reducing current.
  7. Go here: http://www.hebeiltd.com.cn/calculator/v5/led.php That will give you the suitable resistor value.
  8. Superficially it may seem so but there are some very dark places when you scratch the surface.
  9. Really? I wonder how much cruder it would look if it was amateur built. Or is that money was charged?
  10. Time to cut out: beer, mackerel, herrings, asparagus and offal. Drink plenty of water to dilute the Uric acid.
  11. This is not just trade with EU it applies to all imports. The £15 VAT de minimis concession has been removed. The EU are to follow in about April I think.
  12. It's the way you have entered the date in row 1. You have entered a date as text, it needs to be entered as a number that is shown in date format.
  13. It's not up to the BBC to condone or otherwise. That's not their job. Their job, as regards their news coverage, is to report facts. I don't look to the BBC for moral guidance in my life.
  14. Grainge and Hodder do customisation. You're going to have to talk to them obviously.
  15. Actually he's been doing this for some years and he actually isn't finished yet as the research is on going. This is quite an international research programme. Clickspring would say this is Horology rather than model engineering. His home is in Australia and my impression is he doesn't want to be contacted.
  16. Actually we (i.e. UK) have been using decimal currency since 1849 - that is why the Florin or 2/- was introduced. So we had the best of both worlds a decimal system and a duodecimal system. So we had 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10, 1/12 and 1/20 of a pound.
  17. Actually there is something they can do and that's set up a Direct Debit. However the Direct Debit Guarantee means that if they do the Bank will/has to give you your money back. There is no quibble over it either.
  18. Oh dear you really don't understand do you. Knowing only the sort code, account number and name you can only pay money to that account, which is why BACS transfers work and are widely used. When you use a cheque you are giving them your bank details rather than them giving you their details.
  19. Then don't use your bank account - use your credit card.
  20. 25/- is about £76 today. The cost of the components today £2 tops.
  21. Points are Normal or Reversed. Normal usually sets the usual or main route, Reversed the diversionary route.
  22. My first visit to Baku was in 1998, the early oil period, and well remember Fountains Square. One night there was a hell of a wind blowing off the Caspian and all the power cables started to bang together and short the lights out! My last trips there were for the World Bank in 2010 and the place was changing very rapidly'. I was talking to my translator about it and how I didn't recognise the place from before and she said "I live here and I don't recognise the place!". I agree about the ICE. I started my degree the year that HNC stopped being recognised. We had a number of guys that had chosen to do a degree but who had been working for some time. The one week surveying course was a joke as it was supposed to have lasted for the whole week but it was over by the Tuesday because all these guys had been doing it for the past 5 years and knew more about it than the lecturers.
