Currently away on our Hols so no progress. We are where the Red Arrows ( bus related! ) are flying on Thursday 26/9.

Congratulations John. I thought I did well to last 37 and a bit years.

I've not attempted it but I'll be interested to see how you get on. The ODC RMs are cast metal unlike the more recent plastic bodied ODC buses which would put me off. AFAiC the ODC RM models are very poor compared to the more modern bus models: that hugely thick platform, the lack of flush glazing, the too narrow cab, the missing windscreen glazing bar, etc.
Yes they are Diecast, the other option would be to use the white metal RM kit they you’ve posted photos of.

I’m going to chop a pair of ODC RMs to make an RML. Has anyone already done this? Any suggestions or hints?
I was going to use a mini drill cutting disc to do the surgery.

Mmm looks like you’ll have your work cut out Grahame. I’ve just managed to acquire a second Cars Workshop DMS, and have a couple of BT Atlanteans to convert to another Metrobus. Shame as the 3D printed Titan would have useful.

I’ve found other photos at Rannoch that include the caravan and also the power cable masts.
Thank you.

I found that fitting a desk into the layout room would have been a bit of a squeeze, so as the layout design wasn’t set in stone I have removed a baseboard. The layout is now 10 x 6ft....still big enough. The approaches to Olympia will need remodelling at both ends however. Redundant track has already been lifted.
A few pictures of the room.

I saw the return working pass our garden this afternoon, an unbranded TPE class 803 went the other way a few mins later.
The 803 was very quiet.

This Saturday Brighton MRC will be having one of its infrequent sales days. There will be a large selection of used models mainly in OO from all the Major manufacturers, Locos, coaches, wagons and probably track too.
At the same time if you are interested in joining the club or just finding out more information it will be the chance to chat to club members, see the facilities and what we do.

Does anyone know a source of diagrams or suitable pictures of the Mk2b and Mk2c coach roofs, especially the TSO and FK?
I’ve just stripped a couple of old Farish Mk2s and added Electra Rail graphics sides to them but lack any placing for the roof vents.
The BR folio drawings for the TSO seem to show which side of the centre line each vent is.....so I’ve gone with that. The FK appears to have all the vents in a line off centre.

Always great stuff Grahame.

The pictures I used for the Interfrigo Ferry van were from this website.

The Mk1 FK that GF has chosen was fitted with B1 bogies but I’ve not come across a photo of it with Motorail branding on the ends. Most Mk1 FKs in Motorail service seem to have had CW bogies.....but check against pictures.
l’ve a few pictures of Motorail trains in with the brochures here

........and of course in my WR and MR books

A length of bullhead rail would have done the trick.
Easier to find and drill an old fence post...... whole bag of post concrete to anchor it.
