  3. Sorry for the delay in responding, I have treyd to cut glazing with the machine, but the results are hit and miss, as the glazing sometimes slip when being cut. I have had both machines well over a year and im still useing the same blade. So they last a long time with regular use
  4. On my wish list, which I think that could be easily done. you have 3 kits available T023, T021 and T005 all of which have shop interiors, Would it be possible to put these on a seperate download for us scratch builders? Many Thanks
  5. the 330 is the better one:)
  6. Tho please beaware there are two of these machines on the market, I have both. Theres the older one CC220 that has a cutting force of 150gsm and the newer one CC330-20 that has an sd card slot which has a cutting force of 230gsm
  7. The windows are cut from 220gsm card, I could not find a 5p so I hope a penny will do. I'm not sure if it will cut plasticard, I will have to try it. As to cutting windows, once you get realy small, I think its best to just cut out the panes instead of the whole window. This allows more support of the glazing bars.
  8. I so want one of these, I think I will have to add it the x,mas wish list:D
  9. Just a quick look at what can be done with this machine for windows, more to follow on this
  10. The art work was draw with the program that came with the cutter Robo Master. The maximum thickness that can be cut is 230gsm, im useing standard card from hobby craft, which I think is 220gsm. You can now buy the robo I'm useing for around £200 but I'm sure you would be able to buy a second hand one from any of the online auction sites
  11. Some time ago I bought a craft robo vinyl cutter, to use to cut out vinyl stickers to sell, but more recently I have been looking at what other uses I could use it for. I have been playing about for some time cutting different things. The first thing I tried was corridor connections for coaches, which I now have down to a tee, the next thing I wanted to create was vinyl coach sides, as I wanted to recreate a blue pullman ( which I'm sorry to say has been selved for the time being, as I lost interest) So this brings me on to what I am now going to use the robo for.......Buildings The craft robo comes with it's own design software, which allows you to create different shapes and sizes, plus allows you to build up a picture. So with that in mind I have set to it. In this blog I want to show you how I get on with creating buildings, as I believe the robo should be a useful tool to allow me or anyone to create beautiful buildings. Cutting down the amount of time it takes to make buildings by hand, plus if I want more than one, I can create them quickly. I have made a start today and have done a test building that I could quickly throw together, to see how easy I can do it. All buildings will be N Gauge I would also be interested in seeing if any one else out there is using there robo for this purpose and they get on with it, and maybe we could have a section for sharing our creations.

  15. Hi great topic you mention the coach colours being lighter on the prototypes to the modelled ones. I use to work (well volunteer) for the svr many years ago in the carriage repair workshop at Kidderminster. The coaches would come in all battered and the paint work would be all different shades of crimson due to the bleaching affect from the sun. We would strip all the old paint off, prime them and repaint into a much darker crimson, which would be very much like the modelled types. if you want to go for a true representation of the line I would vary the shades from a very light crimson, with suitable weathering and marks right the way though to a brand new repainted coach. we were only able to repaint a coach every 6 to 10 weeks due to the amount of work and man power available. it was a bit like painting the forth bridge, you get the end and have start all over again. Any news about producing the bridge for people to buy? Once again fantastic work :icon_thumbsup2:
  16. that looks great. I use to live in Kidderminster with the SVR right across the road, just down the road from Arley. are you looking at producing these as I would be interested in obtaining one. great work Ricky
