I was thinking of HID headlights and LED rear clusters to avoid alternator drain. Anything you can do to avoid strain on the engine is pennies in the pocket!
I have fitted full LED rear clusters to my sister's Golf 4, and they are quite wonderful. The Bora will be a harder proposition - there's one LED cluster design which apes the original but doesn't have LED indicators....
