was reminded, when watching "The Lady In The Van", of a similarly malodorous old bag who used to live in Bayswater. Whenever she walked into the Post Office, the place would empty rapidly because she smelled so bad. I wonder if she ever went to model railway exhibitions? #alanbennett

Yep, I can think of one or two like that too. One in particular, bad enough that if the bus is busy, I'll try and avoid picking her up if I can - of course, that makes me a mean nasty bus driver, for not picking up that sweet old lady at the stop... but how long can you hold your breath, I ask. That usually shuts them up!
