Sadly ran out of time to weather the rolling stock as I realised a couple of days ago that I needed some legs for the layout!!
Just leave everything out overnight, Gareth, and it should weather naturally!!
-
My car is also loaded but not with a layout - trestles that somebody wants to borrow, some books that are being sold, a loco and some stock that has been bought, all the "admin" stuff.
In some respects, I wish it was a layout - exhibiting is a lot less stressful than organising!
By the way - if anybody happens to be in the vicinity around 8pm tonight, a hand to move chairs, mark out, etc would be very much appreciated.

Nick, is there wifi at Armitage...?
Jason
Unfortunately not Jason.

Maybe we should set up a video link at TVNAM - a live webstream for all those too far away to join :-)
Martin - if you have the technology and the knowledge, feel free!
-
This is the 8th show and so I suppose I was guilty of assuming (yes, I know...!) that people knew where it was.
I can only suggest that anybody who needs any more info visit the website - www.tvnam.co.uk - where you should find all you need to know.

Well, after a bit of negotiating, I can confirm myself and a mate wil be making the trip west. Feel free to introduce yourself, fairly certain i'll be in my Zanardi cap again.
That's what I like to hear - the more the merrier!
-
It'll be for sale on the day, and I'm hoping to leave the show without it, so come see me if you're interested. Any sensible offer will be considered.
Normal commission rates apply!

Well, with just over a week till TVNAM, it's time for Chris G to start his build!
Chris i'll save you a bit of time and bring the name board down with me!!!!!!
see you all there!
Ray
Ray - you may have noticed in the first photo the glue was still wet! Hopefully, it will be dry by the 17th!

Bring "Wiley City" is my backup plan, the main intention now being to exhibit a new(ish) Yakima Valley layout that I actually started quite a few years ago and am aiming to have finished for the show.
In TVNAM terms it's probably at the "friday morning" stage, which normally wouldn't be a problem for others...
Looking forward to seeing it Andy.

The cost increase is to do with price restructuring. For those that know the venue, the small room by the entrance was always included in the cost but they have now decided to charge it separately which when it is included with the price increase earlier this year means a 50% increase on last year.

I know it's been very remiss of me but I haven't posted anything about the show - my apologies.
As it's less than 2 weeks away I guess you might say it's a bit late - however, better late than never.
Anyway, it is Saturday 17th June at the usual venue, from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is still £6 although I got a shock this week when I went to pay for the venue and found the cost has gone up by 50%!
Free parking and refreshments available.

Excellent!

Cardwell is wired and works (or at least it did last time I tested it!), signalled, although, again, I don't know whether we will be able to include the signalling in the ops. Still work to do on some buildings and detail. I'm out all day tomorrow, cooking all day Friday so I'll see what can be done Wednesday and Thursday.
Whatever happens, it will be there at 8am on Saturday.

Told you it wasn't likely to be the last...In a good example of how a small change can snowball, Jonesville is now available in a longer version, which means it doesn't need another module on the end as a headshunt, which means I can relocate King Coal to provide an interestingly awkward industry off Cardwell, which means I needed to move the plan up to clear the aisle, which means the B&B stand needed to move down...
Is the Admin desks a better arrangement like that Ian? Should still be a circa 4' gap between them and Springfield Yard.
Trouble is, Martyn, we still can't get to the kitchen serving hatch...!!

Well, it's all over for another year.
Thanks once again to everybody involved - the exhibitors, traders, helpers and visitors. The feedback has been positive however, the numbers through the door were a bit worrying. Last year was down on 2015 and yesterday was quite a bit down on last year. OK, we were competing with the weather but my experience as an exhibitor at other shows this year has been much the same. Maybe it's a symptom of the state of the hobby.
Anyway, here are some pictures from yesterday (in no particular order):
End of the Spur
Arcadia
Republic Steel
Florida Springs
Utah & Colorado Western
Avonlea Sub
Fowlers Lake
Ashwood
Black Diamonds Modular
Western Mine
Selah Fruit Row
Rensville
My apologies to Dan - I've no idea why but I didn't get any of West Allen St.
