  1. Could it be this?...... https://www.termsfeed.com/blog/apple-opt-in-consent-advertising-identifiers/
  2. Checked my iPad/Safari and couldn’t repeat your findings. Are you running 14.2? May be worth updating if not.
  3. Similar experience to mine. You may be interested in my discussion with the supplier......
  4. Had an interesting exchange of emails with the supplier in Greece. There were some minor language difficulties, but he offered me this sheet which he says is landscape. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393082834900 He is now sending me another 12 sheets for the postage cost of £3.50 and no need to return the others, so no complaints from me there. There is however one thing where I think there could be a problem. The supplier has a wide range of products and within a few minutes I noted down 6 pages as follows. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-EMBOSSED-BUMPY-stone-paper-20x28cm-1-87-ho-textured/393009597908?hash=item5b81328dd4:g:ZI8AAOSwS3pfthlM https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-stone-wall-20x28cm-OO-1-76-gauge-Embossed-BUMPY-LANDSCAPE-PAPER-a5/313312563308?hash=item48f2e2506c:g:y~EAAOSwnbZfu2CW https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-EMBOSSED-BUMPY-BRICK-stone-wall-20x28cm-scale-OO-1-72-paper-LANDSCAPE/392282254156?hash=item5b55d82b4c:g:cZEAAOSw6X1cR3oW https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-rock-wall-20x28cm-1-32-paper-scale-landscape-EMBOSSED-bumpy-b3GG/393022826394?hash=item5b81fc679a:g:woEAAOSwHVVftggm https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-stone-wall-20x28cm-OO-1-76-gauge-Embossed-BUMPY-LANDSCAPE-PAPER-a1/393028183674?hash=item5b824e267a:g:EPQAAOSw2Olfu2Gs https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16-SHEETS-EMBOSSED-BUMPY-BRICK-stone-wall-20x28cm-SCALE-HO-scale-1-87/313101168941?hash=item48e648b12d:g:Ru0AAOSwH4FZymMA What concerns me a little is that there is no real part numbering system and the examples above show some similar sheets with either no part number or a different part number for what appears to be the same product. Add to this that I got portrait format and Ben got landscape format for what appeared to be the same thing and some alarm bells are ringing. I certainly like the material, but without some form of part number control you could find it difficult to get an identical item some weeks later. I suspect that like wallpaper, there could be colour differences between batches, but that can be dealt with with weathering. Of more concern is the portrait/landscape issue where the supplier doesn’t appear to have part numbers or control of the finished product. No problem if you only have one or two buildings to do, but it could be an issue where you have a considerable length of retaining walls to complete over several months.
  5. Saddened to hear Colin Bell has died after a short illness. Certainly the De Bruyne of his time..... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55551720
  6. I'm sure there's a use somewhere in railway modelling. Fairly sure Copenhagen Fields do some clever work with perspective and reducing scale on buildings that taper off into the distance.....but you're right, it is only Day 1.....
  7. Amazing..... Edit: I had to go and check as some were saying it was fake on Youtube...... https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/real-dancing-robots/
  8. I looked at that pic numerous times and wasn't sure if that was Rockwool or not. If it is the case and it's of sufficient thickness (4"- 6") and it's not blocking the vents at the sides, it should prevent heat entering the loft space. The only way then for heat to enter the loft space would be via an open loft hatch. Still finding that hard to believe as our loft is dry as a bone and we have the rock wool insulation plus an access hatch. When I was putting up new lighting, the hatch was open for hours and we still didn't have condensation of any level, even with the heating going full tilt.....My wife has a blind spot with a thermostat..... There's clearly something wrong that needs further investigation.
  9. Just going back to the OP, I’m still not sure if there is any insulation between the ceiling joists in the loft. Apologies if I missed it. I cannot believe in these days of climate change and demands for top quality insulation in houses that a one year old property has such condensation issues. Whether the design is hot or cold, surely there must be an insulation barrier somewhere in the design. Having had a garage conversion with five RSJ’s added to take the weight, I’m firmly in the professional conversion camp, but of course understand the cost implications and the temptations of such a large space for a layout. Perhaps if I could make the decision again, I would have gone for a loft conversion rather than a garage, but what’s done is done. 6m x 6m seemed a huge space at the time........
  10. Yes, Sky Sports have just overwritten Sky News......... I’ve edited my earlier reply.
  11. The new lockdown will also apply to professional sport, so no more Premier League etc for a few weeks. Least of our worries, I know, but enjoyable watching in an evening....... Edit: Half-time at Southampton and they’ve just said Premier League etc will continue after all. This is the opposite of what Sam Coates said on Sky News earlier. Seems the need to get a story out overwrites checking the facts. Of course Sky News could be right and Sky Sports wrong.........
  12. I thought I’d ordered the right one, but perhaps H0 was wrong. I couldn’t see a 00 one when I scrolled through...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-SHEETS-bumpy-EMBOSSED-BRICK-stone-wall-paper-21x28cm-HO-1-87/392313695374?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648
  13. A pack of stone sheets arrived today, so certainly quick service from Greece. Unless I missed it, I have one minor comment. The stonework is printed in portrait format, whereas landscape in my mind would be more useful, bearing in mind the height and width of 00 buildings and retaining walls. Having checked, I can see the larger scales are in landscape format, so seems strange why these are portrait. Nothing I can’t deal with, but landscape would have made life easier.
  14. Here’s the C10 crossover I built over the past few days. It measures 1150mm overall, but the track centres are wider than normal, so that in itself increases the length. I must be honest I had forgotten the real reason for using C10’s, until I saw Martin’s note last night. I set a minimum radius of 36” and you have to go to C10’s where you have pointwork on the curve, particularly the inner radius. With the ability to flex the base on these new turnouts, C10’s could be ideal, unless you can accommodate tighter radii.
  15. Took a bit longer than expected as sport on TV kept getting in the way. Two down and three to go..... One C10 crossover which takes up all of 45" in length, but I guess that's the price you have to pay if you set 36" minimum radius and you need the inner curve to meet that dimension. All gone very quiet on the health front but hoping to hear more today or tomorrow when the MDT get together to discuss the results of all the tests. The PET scan threw up areas of concern, but they still don't know if it's cancer or my immune system reacting to the high bilirubin levels in my blood. Last examination was on New Years Eve when they took four biopsies from the lymph glands under my left arm. They're hoping these samples will give them a better idea of what's going on. It's the waiting that gets to you no matter how positive you are. Me, I just want to get on with things and get stuck in as soon as possible. I know, good things come to those who wait......
  16. I could talk for hours on bin days. It's often the sole subject of conversation in Seniors Golf........ Highlight of my week....
  17. Thought I'd go and check our loft as I wasn't sure what out set up was. Our loft is cold in the winter and hot in the summer, but absolutely bone dry and no sign at all of any condensation. The house was built 30 years ago and is traditional construction. There is 6" thick rock wool insulation between all the ceiling joists which extends right across the loft and stops short of the eaves to allow ventilation. I thought this was the case, but there is no insulation under the sloping eaves, just the back of the roof felt behind the battens and tiles. The principle appears to be to stop all heat getting into the loft via the ceilings and to that end the 6" rock wool that has been there 30 years does an excellent job. The mere fact the loft is dry with no sign of condensation whatsoever confirms that. I still wouldn't want a layout up there without a complete conversion as the temperature variants through the eaves is considerable between summer and winter.
  18. Surely that’s normal every year. Our collection date slipped two days in late December and will still be two days late this week. It won’t be until the 12th January when all returns to normal. Very easy to check if you to collection days on your local council web site. Of course you may well be right, but it’s easy to assume the worst....
  19. Somewhere around a metre. I’ve just built one........ Rest easy, I’m not asking for one.......Just a joke between Martin and I....... I agree with you, B7’s plus a 1:7 single slip would meet most requirements.
  20. If I wasn’t so far down the line, these kits would be a no brainer. With the cost of pcb strip, rail, solder plus the time and basic skill required to solder up a turnout, these kits are very competitive, so I will certainly be in the queue to order a couple to play around with. I wish you every success in terms of quality and meeting the inevitable demand in the coming months. Go for it......
  21. If it’s not man enough, you could always use one of these..... It will cut sleepers easily enough, but might pull the rails out of the chairs.....
  22. Hadn’t seen one of these before, but I’m interested to read the feedback. Just read some of the data and watched a YouTube video and it appears the saw blade is a drop in unit. No problem with that, but with the pricing between £22 and £30 for a replacement blade unit, you wouldn’t want to come across many screws in the cutting process. Could be an expensive mistake........
  23. Seems we’re losing our the memories of our youth on a daily basis. I recall my mother always saying similar things, but didn’t really understand the sentiment in my 40’s. RIP Gerry.......
