For Landquart I doubt they’ll break a sweat 🤣. They scrapped the bodywork off 412 as they didn’t need it and could recreate it if required.

It was announced November last year as part of the delayed Project Landwasser experience trains.

There were a few bridges without railings if they were wide enough, thinking further I suspect a bridge of that length probably would as you wouldn’t have time to get off to a refuge so the railing keeps you from falling off while being clear. The old style railings were mostly thin steel angle so rusted to a darkish brown while the more modern ones appear to be galvanised and weather much more slowly with brake dust. As I said above the plastic looks very heavy in comparison though and there are 1/144 ship etch sets that would cover a few bridges. Although I’ve not so far found a photo of the hand point levers at Lynton, I’m assuming they match the ones at Pilton, the rodding is shown and a couple of references say they were all on the same side of the loop so I added the control rodding and will fabricate the levers from plastic. I’m using the superb Dapol L&B signals in the original format with two separate posts for the bay and main. I wasn’t risking gluing up the mechanism so I made two identically sized blanks for the bases, tacked them down with superglue and ballasted around them.

As you note for your time period is the key as either is appropriate so I’d go for the visual preference. Personally I prefer without as the plastic is inevitably overscale for railings, I’d go etch brass if you want them. It looks promising if you can hide the line. I used plaster in a really gloopy mix, I think the pva I mix in helps, so it started to roll down and smoothed out on top. I painted it white and sprinkled snow scatter on top.

Glue, glue, glue

Thanks to Chris Osment’s site Lynton & Barnstaple Signalling I’ve had a go at the point rodding with a representation of the Economical FPL’s. I’ll add some of the other bits later to look closer but it at least gives an impression for now. The Wills rodding looks fine in 7mm . . .

Timbers all in, mounting holes for the point motors drilled, all power droppers soldered on and base track colour sprayed. Oh and the switch panel so it can be used analogue too. The red buttons are for the points and the switches for power.

Does the same apply if I ask where everyone else’s is to bump mine up? 😇 . . . No? Oh well it’s good job I’m focused on the O16.5 🤣

All track laid, just a few long timbers in the points to install using the beech strip. More to the point, all tested too so ready to wire up.

I’ve got access at the bay buffers too but I think a ramp there looks right for bigger trollies / barrows.

Unlikely to make much useful info off 120 packs and to be honest not much use to go with my blue HST regardless 😉 How’s anyone going to build an mpd at the moment, I suppose it would look like everything is out in service 🤣

Rubberised coia for hedges packed with bubble wrap. . . ? 😉 even leaving it loose you’d be hard pressed to damage it without totally destroying the box first 🤣 Excellent service though 👍

I honestly don’t know Jim, I saw it in the mink thread and ordered it direct back last March. They arrived just in time for Nov 5th.

Unless they do another run they won’t be, I asked at Ally Pally but they had no plans. They were in the not quite mink thread.

This arrived from Porter House models on eBay and even has its own custom storage box included. Some print lines but nicely done and excellent value. Then I routed the platform edges in a couple of minutes. and tested two boards together. 😁 Now the station to do and then the messy bit next week, terraforming!
