  1. Hi Cav, I agree, they look ok running with newer stock I just improved the exhaust pipes and removed the molded handrail on the front and made up a wire one. Getting them to sit lower certainly helps too. Cheers Peter
  2. Recent additions to the wagon fleet. Some much needed barriers for working on the branch. Cheers Peter. Well only one pic cos it won't let me load anymore.
  3. Some progress on the OBA. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Michael, Thanks for posting that pic it's very helpful as it shows what bits I should have although I will need to add what looks like the change over switch. I did ask for help on a facebook page too which was helpful as someone sent me a link to the MMP site which shows one of the underframe detail on his kits. There was a bit of interest in my kit and where it can from. As mentioned above I thought Buzz models did them. But now know it's you J&M Hughes. I will get an OCA at some point I believe you have improved the kits from when they were Model Express. Thanks again for your help. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks John, I might just do that though I think I have pretty much worked out where everything goes. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Paul, It's made by Model Express. I am not sure they are about anymore, I did have a quick look on Google and couldn't find them. I actually thought Buzz Models bought them but I messaged Andrew and he tells me no. But someone did buy them. Cheers Peter.
  7. Not a lot happening with the layout but I have been playing around with this OBA. The resin chassis rails were not very good and it took a bi t of packing to get one side to sit level but it's looking quite good now the wheels are on. If anyone has pics of the underside it would be a great help to work out where the other bits go, though I have a Bachmann OBA to look at.
  8. Another new addition to the Llanbourne fleet is a Hornby 142 pacer. This one has been a long time coming, I had two running before going DCC but they were not the best runners and even worse when I hard wired a decoder into one. Somewhile back I bought a High level kits etch and motor to improve running. While that sat in a box I did remove the motors from one 142 and lower it to run with my Bachmann 150 this worked quite well as I always thought the Hornby model sat too high. Anyway I made a start last month and had a crack at the high level kit, it went together well but took a bit of faffing to get it sitting at the right ride hight but it's now done and running quite well.
  9. Hi Ian, We are going ok here, lockdown is a pain but it does give me extra time in the garage. Always nice to find stock you had forgotten, enjoy playing trains at the end of the day its what its all about. Plenty of testing now will find any track problems and save you adjusting track once you have ballasted it. All the best Peter.
  10. Hi Ian, I enjoyed the video, layout looks good and seems to be running well. I bet it was good to get some stock out after it's time in storage. Cheers Peter.
  11. So I have finally have the chance to sort the CVs on 31444. Changing CV 50 to 1 improved the running no end changing CV 182 to get the sound volume down made no difference but changing CV161 which is at the top of the volume list for engine start up has the loco now runs and sounds a lot better. Thanks for the help. Cheers Peter.
  12. Still plenty to do but the Genesis flask kit is coming along.
  13. They look very nice. I will have to get a couple myself.
  14. Green machine 33008 heads for Bangor on a service from Cardiff.
  15. Hi Lee, Congrats on the 7 years in business, looks like your are going well and enjoying it. I have to say that 101 looks fantastic. Just goes to show a what can be done with older models if you want to spend a bit of time on them. All the best Peter.
  16. I quite like this one. Banger blue class 47 on ballast.
  17. No worries Stephen, Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I will give those CVs a try hopefully this week I didn't get a chance over the weekend. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Andy, I will have a go with the CVs over the weekend. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Mate, Been a while. Hows it going? whats it been 6 years or so since you have posted on here. All the best Peter.
  20. Thanks Stephen, I will go have a look. I have the instructions which does mention CV s but I haven't had any luck changing the volume so far. Cheers Peter.
  21. Now l have done this before on my other class 31. But how do I adjust the sound and sort the speed on the TTS sound decoders. Its a bit loud and takes off a bit quicker than in would like. Cheers Peter.
