  1. I think not Mr B, for 'CHARD hath claimed it on page 54 Fear of Girls - UK SUBS
  2. Sounds like these might be scary monsters for DBS then I've already got my coat on, as it goes.
  3. I Don't Like You - STIFF LITTLE FINGERS
  4. Sweet Smell of Success - THE STRANGLERS
  5. Last time I had a 1956 session I fell asleep in my chicken jalfrezi. Oh hang on, that was a 1664 session.* A long rake hanging off a Baby Sulzer of any description is essence, pure and simple. On Teviotbank, however, their natural milieu looks like being tripped down the branch in penny numbers in the company of 16T and 12T standards, albeit with a DO5 Baby at the helm, and then forwarded in the local tripper behind whatever's rostered. Which in many cases will be the same DO5 loco or a visiting 60A counterpart or marauding 64B Clayton, marshalled ahead of the obligatory 13T steel opens that seemed to infest the Hawick trip. Is Hobbyrail open, I fancy a wee walk..? * also known as a George Jackson Churchward
  6. Get on with it, you know it makes sense Your comment set me thinking about Baby Sulzers, and I realised with a slight shiver I've just chipped my 12th (4 x 24, 4 x 25, 4 x 26) They're great little workhorses, shape issues on the early-style 25s notwithstanding, and you can assemble a link at bargain prices too, makes the moment easier when you take a blade or weathering filth to them in anger
  7. Hehehe - clotted cream and jam (choice of raspberry or apricot in my gaff) saw off that little lot in short order, I can assure ya! I can't help but think of the WSR when hot scones are around the W/B, it's some distraction. Picked up my second 8-tonner at the weekend: the seasonal vegetable rake is coming together nicely - I can feel an entry in the sectional appendix coming on (scones and all)
  8. What are you doing including links to pictures of Heljan's AL6, David?
  9. Nah, I'm off to Subway Records to see if they've got NEW MODEL ARMY's new single, then Spud-U-Like for lunch, didn't need those rats, had them to Walsall the other week
  10. Not sure how I missed this one Jim, it's incredible; I didn't even notice the missing platform surfaces until I fell down the hole Sad (in a way) to think that having this view now, you'd be awaiting yet another Pendo snaking its way out of the gloom from Wolvo...
  11. If I had turned back the page, more like (Muttley-like noises off) The First Time - THE BOYS
  12. I rule that an inadmissable move, in that you followed up one track with the same track and artist. So I'm having none of that, and we'll go with Up The Junction, appropriately enough, by SQUEEZE
  13. THIN LIZZY - "Fighting" - their 1975 opus. It feels the perfect soundtrack to the exercise of perfecting optimizing the location of a very ruff'n'ready bar near to the station, after an outbreak of scenic inspiration :icon_idea:
  14. Don't Drag Me Down - SOCIAL DISTORTION
  15. You could still imagine a logging trip coming outta here: Inspiration for Border Counties revisionists I reckon

    EBay madness

Don't like Buy-It-Now? Then this eBay madness is just for you: bid at the £75 starting price that's just the same as the Buy-It-Now, that way you get the chance to end up paying more! Numpties... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wrenn-W2226-City-of-London_W0QQitemZ190386419609QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Trains_Railway_Models?hash=item2c53ea3799#ht_500wt_1182

    Heljan Class 15

It appears confined to some early Hornby 31s and Heljan 47s from 2004-06 batches (these dates might be wrong, I exhort people to NOT hijack this thread with corrections if so), there are (locked) threads here and on RMWeb3 that provide chapter and verse on the problem. Bad batches of contaminated chassis casting material are to blame.
  18. Black And White Town - DOVES
  19. This will take many by surprise, but not Dave I imagine! Plenty written between the lines in this shot, as it were.
  20. nice shout Heart Full Of Soul - GHOST DANCE

    EBay madness

Indeed - but check out the plain green Playcraft NBL fifth from left in the top row! When the lot fails to sell, worth a mail?

    EBay madness

I lost count of Dock Authority shunters and Nellies at four apiece. That is just such a lazy listing it makes me irritable.

    Heljan Class 15

A quick scan of the thread suggests that not all contributors have identified this as a problem. In any case, the scale of remedying it sounds like it's well within the capability of the average modeller. Collectors might struggle to do the work I suppose, but anyway static display shouldn't be an issue for them. I guess it all comes down to how much you want or need one to fulfil your modelling ambitions. The Newquay branch in 2008 would obviously be none the poorer for not having one, but if you've been crafting Bow shed in anticipation of this release, then it's time to apply to the box-shifters; there's still change from £100 after buying a set of files.
