  1. SO I suspect I know the answer to this but here goes.... So is it a simple job of just changing the interior and branding to convert an SO to an RSO of this batch? Cheers Phil
  2. Surely its a basic rule that you don't put an unweathered loco straight on the layout? This just looks so fresh out of the box! Just putting a blob of gunmetal on those pristine buffers fools no-one! Phil
  3. Took the layout to Toddington tonight - this was the scene outside the shed Wonderful! Just the right era too.... Jim is still not good though....couldn't help tonight - so thanks for helping unload Simon. And unsure about the morning too so Taigatrommel has stepped in to the breach to help set up .... what a star many thanks, don't forget the 4Rep for Saturday test running SWMBO just helped load all the locos and stock boxes in to the car.... OOOH DANGEROUS....how many have you got? Hee hee Phil
  4. Hi Paul sorry haven't had chance to re-do the drawings Getting ready for this weekend's outing to Glos Warwickshire diesel gala - there Friday to Sunday 29th to 31st So the usual sorting....leads tested, ECoS backed up, firmware updated etc... Layout has behaved really well on last few outings so no serious fettling required - all signals functioned on the Sunday at DEMU so apart from changing two motor mounts to centre spring ones to avoid the down advanced starter drooping when the distant clears nowt else to do Rmwebbers please come and say hello - we will be by the shutter doors at the end of the diesel shed, this is usually a pretty relaxed event for us operators Phil
  5. Thanks Chaz - those Chalk Hill Blues are very special for sure Phil
  6. WOnderful Chaz Cant manage any decent butterfly shots but this moth obliged But not sure what it is - can anyone oblige please? Phil
  7. Smashing shots Whats the second vehicle in that last photo please Robert? Kind regards Phil
  8. Congratulations to you both Paul ...and welcome to the world Rosa Phil
  9. C-section babies are usually perfect and pristine - no trauma of negotiating the endocervical canal! Phil
  10. Hmmmm..... Looks to me like door 8 bays door loo Wouldn't that make it a diagram 56 RSO? IIRC didn't all the first opens only have 7 bays and the loos inside the door rather than outside on this little beauty? Phil
  11. So - had a trip to Dublin a couple of weeks ago Took 3 underarm de-odorants with me.... To be sure to be sure to be sure..... Phil
  12. So back on thread Abbotswood is appearing at the Glos Warwicks diesel gala next weekend. If Smoky Joe makes an appearance there could well be a lynching! Hee hee Phil
  13. Hope the company logos are mounted on separate shields as per the original - by the late 60s/early 70s the regent ones were being debranded Phil
  14. Wot no beer???? Hee hee That's looking good .... hope all goes well this weekend for you all Phil
  15. When Slaati Blartvast was engaged to plan the world I think he intended most of Wales for visiting not residing.... Could just about cope with living in Monmouth though. Phil
  16. Thanks Leander Think it was that article that planted Jubilees as one of my favourite locos - IIRC was based on Dent wasn't it? Phil
  17. Absolutely Clive! Stunning wasn't it? Put me in mind of ... was it David Jenkinson's layout? Remember that being in Railway modeller in the late 60s Phil
  18. Cracking S&C shots Dave Capture the atmosphere brilliantly Who would not want to build a model of that location? Phil
  19. Let me know what happens Paul - good luck to you both Phil
  20. Heres one for you... Fawley - Bomford Bridge behind 33s http://www.rail-online.co.uk/p726273221/h2EE5495E#h2ee5495e Cheers Phil
  21. More wonderful shots Dave J1184 - definitely a 46, D186 or D188 perhaps? And J1251 - D1839 - a cracking shot of the Stones boiler port , decent shots are not common and this is the one variant Bachmann have yet to produce... Thanks once again Phil
  22. Many thanks And unless its a trick of the light that loco has been tarted up for a special working... White or silver buffer rims, wheel tyres and edges of bogie equalising beams Phil
  23. More brilliant photos C360 I am desperately trying to make in to 1103....if so then that's my first ever cop, Bham New Street 3rd September 1967 Those D11xx were essentially ECML locos although they did stray through Abbotswood occasionally...next on the list for a Brush 4 to be modelled I think Phil
