  3. Colin, I hope you are well, having purchased a couple more books for the collection at Ally Pally recently (E1 trams and Feltham trams) I found some pictures of trams being scrapped in Brixton hill and there is definite evidence of pits! this coincides with a drawing in Stan Collins book that also shows them, not an issue either way really as I have now nearly finished cutting the pits anyway and as it is no longer Brixton, interesting anyway. Tony
  4. Colin, I just overlaid what was already there so if its wrong it was already wrong.. Have to bare in mind this will be based at the end of the trams existence and I have seen many photos of poor trackwork towards the end although I agree in general the track was to a high quality. I may have to revisit it now due to scrutiny though.. Tony
  5. thanks for the info on that Ray, all very interesting, sadly as it is only a tiny addition I don't think much of the coach sidings can be added!
  6. None as yet on two of them, one has a Bachman brill motor in it. tony
  7. Took the dog on route survey, if I base the scenic line between the bridges, single line is ok and two scenic breaks, win win. The fist pic is site of depot corner of Raymouth Road. The history and geography is coming together now. Might need to use a cassette system for the OKR end if use all together as one layout but assuming there would be still at least one loop towards OKR lends itself to some operations on 88 and 90 routes.
  8. Thanks Colin, I will be in touch, will show pics as I take them apart for motors..
  9. Hi Andy, I actually just put the trams on those paper sheets to pose them, that’s all, not part of the layout but will use them once progress gets that far ..
  10. Cheap and cheerful as ever, no spend, rail hot glued to foam boards so we shall see..
  11. we look forward to seeing that layout then Colin.. ding ding any more fares. tony
  12. I agree Ray, looks really good and nice lightweight boards too, right up my street! Tony
  13. yes Ray, like I said to you I think one or two may be in order and the Connelly rail motor which would need scratch building. The KW site is actually going to be getting some business from me I think, lots of useful bits and pieces on there by the looks of it.. that is the picture of what I want to re create as the terminus, not sure turning the horses will be very prototypical though! I checked the maps last night and there appears to be two loops between there and the bridge carrying the BL branch on RNR, I intended the depot to actually be in the vee with the line coming in on what is now Raymouth Road, so a little past the bridges. Tony
  14. Yes have a picture of my daughter doing the coconut horse noises somewhere.. meanwhile back in the depot..
  15. I meant 88 I think, I am tempted with a horse tram...
  16. thanks gents, yes RNR is better because only need to hide one end in theory, Routes will be 80 and or 90 I believe both long gone by the period concerned and correct for the area so no issue with 'heritage' service.
  17. ..I should have mentioned an addition I am planning basically a scenic fiddle yard, so Rotherhithe New Road up to Old Kent Road Terminus, join up to depot board in effect meaning they are both Fiddle yard and layout. I am going to be keeping it simple and small either single track terminus to double or single, loop, single..
  18. morning Ray, had to do something last night waiting for the boys to turn up! I will be completely covering the traverser, deck will be planked up to rail level and cosmetic metal work on the outside covering the sides down to track level as per prototype, well that's the plan anyway..
  19. Work has re started after a break to do some other projects. hope to do some work on the traverser deck this week..
  20. Tested and working just got to rebuild it now..
