  1. The book arrived safely today, great surprise when I returned from shopping. The cover picture just invites you in, you want to see more. Thanks to all those concerned. Neil
  2. With the aid of a strong magnifier and using a small flat bladed screwdriver (the type used for spectacles). Insert the screwdriver, carefully, between the chassis and the outer rib on the body above the axle box, the one the opposite end from the hand brake lever (so as not to damage the lever); you only have to lever the body out about half a mil., then do the same on the next rib pulling the chassis down slightly and it will start to release. Once it starts to release, do the same on the other side, there is nothing else to release, just the four clips that hold the body onto the chassis. I managed to do all four wagons with no damage. As a footnote I've added 25 grammes of weight and they run and feel so much better. Just take it very carefully. Cheers Neil.
  3. Hi What Kernow has said is right, I have just started to weather mine and fit sprung buffers and Kadee couplings. The body and chassis do come apart. Uploaded pictures to show where the 4 clips are. Hope this helps. Neil.

  8. Just ordered to go with the two class 37 just converted to 37320 & 37323 could not have timed it better thanks Accurascale
  9. Bif I would just like to say thank you it works a treat (great sounding loco with independent lights happy bunny) Cheers Neil
  10. Hi Just fitted Bif sound to a Backman Class 37. Rewired the functions on an ESU1568 adapter plate, so now the rear lights are on auxiliary 1 and 2, function buttons 19 and 20. The problem is when using function button 19, rear lights are on when stationery but go out as soon as the loco moves. So does anyone know the CV's I need to use to stop this happening. I presume this was when F19 controlled the cab lights. Cheers, Neil
  11. I have used most of the box shifters over the years second time I have used track shack super service great prices I would recommend them to anyone give them a try Neil
  12. Hi, Attached are 3 photos of 5191, just after it had moved down to Tyseley from Longtown. If you look at the photo with the name on you can see the initials JC above the 'D' in Donald. This the painters initials, his name was Jim Crow, from Inverness depot. He lived up in Invergordan. He told me the paint was actually mixed by Dulux. Neil
