Keeping your layout free of dust!
Tim V replied to RichD1's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
There's the answer. Why is your (OP) house dusty? Dog, long hair, carpets? Look to those. Baseboards made of plastic? Static charge on layout? Oh and a tip for keeping the dust off? Turn the layout upside down when not in use, that will definitely keep the dust off. -

I have the guide from the 1979 WWoE show. However I think I remember you at the 1977 show - but I don't remember you on the bookstall. Didn't you spend a lot of time on the Studiolith stand? Was it Ann with or without an 'e'?

Strictly, that's a replica box, it's on a new site across the tracks from the original location. They have done a nice job though. Here is a 'before' picture of Swanage in 1985.

I'm told this was the signal box from Dainton Summit, now repurposed as a sailing club at Westbury. And Fairwood Junction in 1978 under some magnificent trees.

Police deal with trainspotters breaking Covid lockdown rules
Tim V replied to ardbealach's topic in Wheeltappers
I read an interesting statistic yesterday, while a lot of people have been prosecuted for breaking the Covid laws, not a single employer has been prosecuted for an unsafe workplace. Odd that? https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jan/14/operation-blame-the-public-covid-unsafe-workplaces-coronavirus-tories -

Of course, there was the ticket office in the pub, At Farrington Gurney! There was a Pathe newsreel of it - can I find it now? Found it! https://www.britishpathe.com/video/booking-office-in-pub-aka-booking-office-in-inn-or/query/office+pub

Do Kidderminster and Bridgnorth count?

Another now you don't see it, now you do! Winchcombe in 1980, and 1992. But I haven't scanned any outside pictures of Winchcombe yet, so the interior will have to do!
