I am my own worst enemy when it comes to controlling my diet, although I have lost nearly three stones this year (and feeling much better for it). I can easily control my main meals but it is the ‘extras’ that get me, After a home made mushroom risotto (good for diet) I am now sitting with a glass of Stellanbosch red and a lump of cheese. The cheese is a piece of Orkney Island Smokery Dark smoked cheddar. If you haven’t tried this before (or any of their cheeses for that matter) I strongly recommend it. It is not unlike sipping at a glass of Laphroaig - and that is high praise indeed.

Eldest starting Uni with ‘Fresher’s week’ from today. They probably don’t call it that any more, do they? Youngest is two and half and keeps us young at heart. Not that I’ve ever grown up anyway.

We have been away for a few days and so I have just been catching up a bit. I’m late to the party on parking but here goes … A friend of Valerie’s was at a large supermarket where the parking was time limited and administered by one of these companies. Unfortunately her husband suffered a medical episode which proved fatal. He was whisked away in an ambulance and she, obviously, went with him. Her family recovered her car but shortly before the funeral she received a parking fine/charge. Again, this was dealt with by her family who appealed and explained the circumstances. I suppose it’s fair to say that there was no way that the parking company could know the circumstances but the letter accepting the appeal concluded with words to the effect ‘… and don’t let this happen again’. We can laugh about it now but if caused not a little upset at the time.

Did you do a search/translation? Apparently Enthirans is Tamil for robot/machine That should make the whole thing clear.

Well it could be that Fresh food was frozen. Or the frozen food is fresh. Or they have Freshly frozen food Or…

Surely they should be invited into the Southern Hemisphere 6N, or whatever it is they have down there.

I don’t want rain on your parade, Andy, but it’s not the weathering but the different heights that jump out to me. The thing that sticks out about trains of insul-fish vans is the uniformity. Looking closely at the photo it looks as though the bottom of the wagons/solebars are at a different height too, so it looks as the issue is below that. Are the wheels of different radii? Is there something in the construction that has led to this? Hopefully (if it bothers you too) it can be corrected.

I am speaking here as a user of sound projects rather than a creator. I think that you may have covered this in mentioning acceleration and deceleration but I find that one of the things that can spoil an otherwise good project is the transitions between the different sound loops. Also short repetitive loops where the sound isn’t uniform - and therefore becomes noticeably a loop - can be off putting. I know things have greatly improved in terms of memory but should you be considering the available memory v total size of your sound files at the design stage?

It was very warm away from that sea breeze. We ended up at Wallington. It was uncomfortable in the open but a walk through the woods and along the riverbank proved very pleasant indeed. I have been up into the loft and opened all of the windows as I plan to spend tomorrow up there doing something unmentionable.

I cut a ULEZ camera down. It fell against the wall of a local school. Whole building collapsed.

Living just a few miles further south I can’t help but agree with you. But I do wish you would keep quiet about it. Let’s keep it to ourselves. p.s.
