  1. Good grief. Ten pages of erudite guff since Monday evening. I just can’t keep up with you lot.
  2. Do you have to keep bringing your Dick up? Can we not run it round Corfe a few times. See if anyone notices.
  3. The Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia pipe band have won the World Pipe Band Contest. Did you support them? No? Thought not.
  4. Welcome to RMweb. There are a few of us here with interest in the west highland line. You couldn’t really call us a sub-group or sub-forum but I have always found that there is friendly, mutual support and we all learn from each other. Enjoy having a browse of the existing WHL layouts and hopefully we will soon see a thread on your layout. I look forward to it. Good to hear that you enjoyed your West Highland Way walk too.
  5. After the warm up games England have re-assessed their expectations and targets for the World Cup. They now hope to finish games with fifteen.
  6. ... and the blue spot van kits were flogged off at Hartlepool last year.
  7. I converted a couple a while ago but the photographs on my thread have been lost. I could replace them if they would be helpful. @meanach I found that the hardest part was removing the bays/single seat as the plastic from which they are formed is hard and quite brittle. Railtec transfers do a suitable sheet… https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3952 I also bought a sheet of their cantrail red strip as how far it extends does vary from vehicle to vehicle, emphasising the need to work from those photos.
  8. Next time just go to their staff room and help yourself to a cup of coffee. Let me know how you get on.
  9. I did ask her but I think she must be busy on another X-men film.
  10. They do say that if the Rowan berries are heavy and early then a hard winter is on its way.
  11. Yes, the link does work. A great find. I will enjoy watching that later (after more ballasting).
  12. Mr Bodge-it himself collared me the other day and said; "you know, if you complete all the wood bits, chicken wire and mod-rocky stuff around this here viaduct it is going to be hard to reach over and finish your ballasting." He's right you know ... so that last few opportunities I have had to go up into the loft have been spent doing more ballasting. Hence there's nothing much to report except that the ballasting is finished in the harder to reach areas - but you know what? I reckon its still only about half done in total. I'm not sure whether I want to press on and get it all finished, a pain but a necessity, or just work in chunks interspersed with other more interesting tasks. Anyone interested in a ballasting party? Onwards and upwards as they say.
  13. I thought you were serious there until you mentioned Eddie Jones and win in the same sentence.
  14. England play better without Farrell The disciplinary panel were Australians The decision to let him play was a given.

  18. When finished, timetabling it all will be very … er… interesting.
  19. A copy finally arrived today. At first glance it looked very interesting. Later this evening I will sit down with it, a glass of a rather nice Caol Ila, and give both my full attention.
  20. That’s going to take more than a 5v servo or Seep solenoid to move it. Looks good.
  21. … and his girlfriend ended up with a bottle of Double Diamond.
  22. Ah, the joys of the British seaside. Look on the bright side though… at least the rain will wash all that sewerage off you.
  23. Because we’ve got one tracK minds.
