  1. Fancy scaling them AWS ramps up to 1:43.5 scale please Simon? Cheers Tom
  2. Sure Simon. I'd be interested to know how much of a saving the sprue removal makes on yours. Cheers Tom
  3. Hi Simon, I just had a look at your Shapways shop. Good to see that model stuff being produced. I've noticed quite a few of your models have sprues attaching the duplicates together. You'd reduce the cost if you deleted those completely and even less finishing time HTH Tom
  4. The latter and they will be done in limited batches. This means you can specify livery/number to your precise requirements Cheers Tom
  5. Hi Chris, Here are a couple of pics I took of some of the parts on display at Telford. Cheers Tom
  6. When it went over years ago. It's to comply with their light arrangement. Cheers Tom
  7. Hi Dave, Are the signal and platform indictor printed from the same material? Cheers Tom
  8. Progress looks good Jon. Is its completion in sight yet? Cheers Tom
  9. I'm missing something. I can only see boxes and no floor! How do you find anything, viewing spectacles? Cheers Tom
  10. Thanks for pointing that out Jeremiah. I stand corrected and obviously things have changed at Hornby. Cheers Tom
  11. Hi, Hornby gave up on attending model rail shows this year. But they seem to be into building their web presence through facebook and the like. Cheers Tom
  12. Assuming it's fibreglass I should think after decades of exposure to the heat and elements its shape will alter slightly. Cheers Tom
  13. Hi Jon, Naaah, the Chinese need to get it right. Remember it's £100s of loco before you even start considering extras. Cheers Tom
  14. Brian, Good to see the pizza cutter wheels cut down, and bringing the buffer beam forward has made a great difference for the better The light cut out panel is getting there, but not quite right yet. The back of the cut out panel looks in the right place apart from the scoop, but the lights don't look quite proud enough yet based on the pics. Can you do a close up in the same angle so we can see a bit better please? Cheers Tom
  15. Certainly getting there Dapol. A few little tweaks (buffer shanks need the plug that's used for retracting them, body lifting lugs extend further down and have a curved base, some screw representation across the buffering plate, tweak the shape of sand boxes, and remove the cab/body joint seam) and it'd be stunning. But it's certainly good in its current form. Cheers Tom
  16. Hi no worries. It was only earlier this year that I was hovering over the area. Glad the pic is helping though. Cheers Tom
  17. There's a few mentions of Richard Webster, is he the designer of the model? Cheers Tom
  18. Out with your plastic strip then Vin Cheers Tom
  19. There weren't any armrests in the snug, they were between all the standard class seats. Cheers Tom
  20. Hazy memory of the lounge area other than it always seemed to be dirty in the way a nightclub gets; bit sticky and all. What I do remember well were the chunky grey arm rests between the seats being too low to properly rest your arms on but good for marking out your own space. Cheers Tom
  21. It's looking great Vin, the Eddie P murals are bringing back fond memories. Cheers Tom
  22. You've captured the look spot on James. Get a nice mucky 73 104 upfront Cheers Tom
  23. Oooh, I like the BDA Simon If you've got a wire brush, run that across your decking in random lines and it'll scribe a wood grain effect into the plastic card. Cheers Tom
  24. Looks good Mick. You need to remove the end guttering and down pipes too. They've chopped them off and presume welded over the end by the doors for the same reason as the strip you mention? Cheers Tom
